The ASUS TUF Gaming F17 and the MSI Prestige 15 are similarly priced, both with 512GB storage, but the ASUS has 8GB of RAM while the MSI has 16GB. The ASUS is equipped with an Intel i5-11400H processor and Nvidia RTX 3050 Ti graphics, suited for gaming. In contrast, the MSI has an Intel i5-1240P and Nvidia GTX 1650 Max-Q, more oriented towards business and less demanding creative work. The MSI offers a higher battery capacity, lighter weight, and additional USB-C with Thunderbolt ports, making it more portable and better for on-the-go productivity. The ASUS has a larger 17.3-inch display with a higher refresh rate, beneficial for gaming and fast-paced content, but this comes at the cost of portability and battery life. If gaming and graphics are a priority, go for the ASUS; if mobility, battery life, and business tasks matter more, the MSI is a better fit. Give Feedback

The ASUS TUF Gaming F17 has a better screen than the MSI Prestige 15 for gaming and AI, while the MSI Prestige 15 has a better screen for engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
When considering general use, both the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 and the MSI Prestige 15 offer screens with adequate resolution, brightness, and panel types that provide clear and vivid images for everyday tasks such as browsing, casual photo editing, and video streaming. However, for engineering and design work where accurate color representation is crucial, the MSI Prestige 15 stands out due to its superior color gamuts, ensuring that it covers more of the DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB spectrums, which is essential for professional photo editing and graphic design. On the other hand, for 3D applications and gaming, where the fluidity of motion is paramount, the F17 falls short because it lacks a high refresh rate which is necessary for smooth gameplay and animation, making the MSI Prestige 15, despite its limitations in refresh rate, the more balanced option between the two for varied tasks.

How the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 and the MSI Prestige 15 compare to other laptops
"One of the Asus TUF Gaming F17’s highlights is without a doubt its excellent gaming performance. The fact that Asus configured the RTX 3060 GPU for its specified maximum of 140 W is became immediately noticeable in our benchmarks. For a 17-inch notebook the F17 also offers a very long battery life, which makes it somewhat portable. On the flip side is the display. It may be saved by its good overall contrast ratio, but its overall brightness is simply too low, and its response times are too slow for a gaming device. The F17’s successor needs to improve upon this."
"The MSI Prestige 15 offers a dazzling 4K image quality, and solid performance. The MSI Prestige 15 appears to consistently implement the guiding principle of throttling the solid and efficient hardware to such an extent that content creation succeeds perfectly. Performance-hungry tasks, on the other hand, are slowed down a little by the reduced power consumption. Conversely, this means that the case remains relatively cool and the dual fan subdued. The battery life also benefits somewhat. So the losses aren't really dramatic because full performance is still available for short bursts."
