If you prioritize gaming or intensive tasks such as video editing, the Asus TUF Gaming F17 offers stronger performance ideal for these activities, although it is bulkier and has shorter battery life, making it less convenient for travel. On the other hand, the MSI Prestige 13 AI Evo is sleeker, lighter, and has a longer battery life, fitting better for general use, business applications, and portability, but it may not handle demanding games or software as effectively as the Asus. Consider what you'll use the laptop for most when making your choice. Give Feedback

The MSI Prestige 13 AI Evo is very good for general use, while the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 is good.
The ASUS TUF Gaming F17, with its robust CPU and RAM, excels in performance for intensive tasks but is less portable and has a shorter battery life, making it less ideal for on-the-go use compared to the MSI Prestige 13 AI Evo, which offers a balance of powerful CPU, ample RAM, high-quality screen, and long battery life in a lightweight design, better suited for general use and mobility. While the TUF F17's larger screen may appeal to gamers or those needing a bigger display, the Prestige's portability and screen quality are top-tier for everyday use and professional tasks needing color accuracy.

The MSI Prestige 13 AI Evo has a better screen than the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
When considering screen quality for general use, the MSI Prestige 13 AI Evo's high resolution and brightness make for a crisp, vibrant display, while the ASUS TUF Gaming F17, with decent resolution and lower brightness, offers an acceptable but less impressive visual experience. For engineering and design work, the MSI laptop stands out with its wider color gamuts ensuring accurate color representation, which is essential for precision tasks, whereas the ASUS's more limited color range might not meet professional standards. Meanwhile, for gaming and 3D applications, the ASUS's lower refresh rate results in less fluid motion compared to high-end gaming laptops, and while the MSI also falls short in this aspect, it's not positioned as a gaming device, where high refresh rates are crucial for optimal performance.

How the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 and the MSI Prestige 13 AI Evo compare to other laptops
"One of the Asus TUF Gaming F17’s highlights is without a doubt its excellent gaming performance. The fact that Asus configured the RTX 3060 GPU for its specified maximum of 140 W is became immediately noticeable in our benchmarks. For a 17-inch notebook the F17 also offers a very long battery life, which makes it somewhat portable. On the flip side is the display. It may be saved by its good overall contrast ratio, but its overall brightness is simply too low, and its response times are too slow for a gaming device. The F17’s successor needs to improve upon this."
