The ASUS TUF Gaming F17 is generally more affordable and offers robust performance suitable for gaming and resource-intensive tasks but it's bulkier, making it less convenient for travel. The MSI Creator M14 is sleeker and more portable, designed for creative work with better display quality; however, it's usually pricier. For heavy gaming or demanding software, the ASUS may serve you well, but if portability and screen quality are priorities, especially for content creation, consider investing in the MSI. The MSI Creator M14 is very good for general use, while the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 is good.
The ASUS TUF Gaming F17, with its well-rounded CPU and RAM, provides an excellent balance for both performance on demanding tasks and decent portability for general use, although its larger size and gaming focus may somewhat limit battery life compared to more streamlined models. The MSI Creator M14, with its high-quality screen and lightweight design, offers better portability and longer battery life, making it a superior choice for general use, but might not match the ASUS in handling sustained high-performance workloads.

The MSI Creator M14 is good for gaming and AI, while the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 is only fair.
The ASUS TUF Gaming F17 offers a capable GPU suitable for most modern games, and a high screen refresh rate which provides smoother visuals during fast-paced action, making it a good fit for gaming enthusiasts and those interested in 3D work. However, the MSI Creator M14, while still providing a solid gaming experience with a dependable GPU, places a greater emphasis on screen quality and includes a high-performing CPU, which benefits professionals working with detailed visual content and multitasking in creative applications.

The MSI Creator M14 is very good for engineering and design, while the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 is only fair.
The MSI Creator M14 offers superior CPU, RAM, and GPU capabilities along with a higher quality screen, which are crucial for engineering and design work that demand resource-intensive software and precise visuals. While the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 is robust in performance and screen quality, its heavier weight and larger size make it slightly less portable compared to the MSI, and it may not match the peak performance of the MSI's more powerful internals.

The MSI Creator M14 has a better screen than the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 for general use, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The ASUS TUF Gaming F17 has a good enough display with adequate brightness and resolution for tasks like web browsing and video streaming, which makes it suitable for general use, but it lacks the wide color gamuts needed for high-fidelity color work in engineering and design, and its refresh rate is not high enough for the smooth visuals desired in gaming and 3D applications. The MSI Creator M14, on the other hand, offers a display that combines good resolution and brightness with better color accuracy, which benefits professional design work, but like the ASUS, it also falls short for gaming and 3D due to a lower refresh rate. Both laptops provide satisfactory screen qualities for everyday tasks, but specialized uses like engineering design or gaming will be compromised by limitations in color range and motion fluidity, respectively.

"One of the Asus TUF Gaming F17’s highlights is without a doubt its excellent gaming performance. The fact that Asus configured the RTX 3060 GPU for its specified maximum of 140 W is became immediately noticeable in our benchmarks. For a 17-inch notebook the F17 also offers a very long battery life, which makes it somewhat portable. On the flip side is the display. It may be saved by its good overall contrast ratio, but its overall brightness is simply too low, and its response times are too slow for a gaming device. The F17’s successor needs to improve upon this."
