The ASUS TUF Gaming F17 is well-suited for gaming and intensive tasks due to its dedicated Nvidia graphics card, while the LG Gram 16 offers better portability with its lightweight design and significantly longer battery life. The LG Gram also boasts a higher resolution screen with better colors and is better suited for general use, while the ASUS carries a larger screen with a higher refresh rate that benefits fast-paced gaming. Consider how you'll use the laptop: if gaming or performance-intensive applications are your priority, go for the ASUS; if mobility and longer unplugged use matter more, the LG Gram is the better option. General use prioritizes a clear and bright display, and both the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 and the LG Gram 16 offer displays that are sharp and have good brightness levels, making them suitable for everyday tasks. However, for gaming and 3D applications, the ASUS’s lower refresh rate holds it back, whereas the LG, despite having a quality display, also lacks a high refresh rate, which is crucial for smooth motion rendering in fast-paced visual environments.

How the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 and the LG Gram 16 compare to other laptops
"One of the Asus TUF Gaming F17’s highlights is without a doubt its excellent gaming performance. The fact that Asus configured the RTX 3060 GPU for its specified maximum of 140 W is became immediately noticeable in our benchmarks. For a 17-inch notebook the F17 also offers a very long battery life, which makes it somewhat portable. On the flip side is the display. It may be saved by its good overall contrast ratio, but its overall brightness is simply too low, and its response times are too slow for a gaming device. The F17’s successor needs to improve upon this."
"The LG Gram 16 is a lightweight device with stability issues. The LG Gram 16Z90Q with a Core i7-1260P is made with portability in mind and places less of a focus on users with high demands on performance. The compact and light chassis is particularly practical when you are on the go. The device is not only comfortably small and lightweight, it also boasts a great battery life. When connected to mains, on the other hand, the 16-inch device is rather disappointing. The standard cooling mode causes extreme volatility in terms of CPU, SSD and iGPU performance. The meager stability of the chassis may also put off some potential buyers."
