The ASUS TUF Gaming F17 offers robust performance for gaming with a dedicated Nvidia RTX graphics card, larger screen, and a high refresh rate, at a lower price, yet it is heavier and has a shorter battery life, suiting stationary use rather than constant mobility. Meanwhile, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga, though more expensive, is very portable, has a high-resolution touchscreen with a 3:2 aspect ratio, which is ideal for productivity tasks and consuming content, and offers a longer battery life; however, it relies on integrated graphics, making it less suitable for intensive 3D applications or gaming. The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga has a better screen than the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 for general use, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, a laptop like the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga with its high resolution and brightness, coupled with a premium panel type, provides crisp and clear visuals, making it appealing for everyday tasks like browsing and video streaming. For engineering and design, where color accuracy is crucial, this Lenovo's wide color gamut ensures that it displays colors more accurately and vividly, essential for tasks such as photo editing or CAD work. However, for Gaming and 3D applications that benefit from smoother motion and responsiveness, neither the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 nor the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga are ideal, as their lower refresh rates can't match gaming-oriented laptops that prioritize this feature for a more immersive experience.

How the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 and the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga compare to other laptops
"One of the Asus TUF Gaming F17’s highlights is without a doubt its excellent gaming performance. The fact that Asus configured the RTX 3060 GPU for its specified maximum of 140 W is became immediately noticeable in our benchmarks. For a 17-inch notebook the F17 also offers a very long battery life, which makes it somewhat portable. On the flip side is the display. It may be saved by its good overall contrast ratio, but its overall brightness is simply too low, and its response times are too slow for a gaming device. The F17’s successor needs to improve upon this."
"The ThinkPad X1 Titanium is a showcase of what Lenovo thinks business computing will look like in the near future. People want thinner, lighter laptops with high-quality screens and enough computing power to get their work done. The X1 Titanium achieves these goals with some controversial but innovative design choices, including a redesigned keyboard and a pared-down port selection."
