If you prioritize gaming and other graphics-intensive tasks, the ASUS TUF Gaming F17, despite its lower portability due to size and weight, offers a better-suited graphics card and generally more gaming-oriented features. However, if your focus is on business applications, frequent travel, and a longer battery life, the Lenovo ThinkPad T14 is more portable, has a more premium build quality, and provides a balance suitable for general use and work tasks. The ThinkPad is also often favored for its keyboard and durability. Consider what your daily use looks like to determine which compromises are acceptable for your needs. Give Feedback

How the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 and the Lenovo ThinkPad T14 compare to other laptops
"One of the Asus TUF Gaming F17’s highlights is without a doubt its excellent gaming performance. The fact that Asus configured the RTX 3060 GPU for its specified maximum of 140 W is became immediately noticeable in our benchmarks. For a 17-inch notebook the F17 also offers a very long battery life, which makes it somewhat portable. On the flip side is the display. It may be saved by its good overall contrast ratio, but its overall brightness is simply too low, and its response times are too slow for a gaming device. The F17’s successor needs to improve upon this."
"We like a lot about this laptop. It has many ports, with the inclusion of RJ45-Ethernet as a defining feature. WWAN is upgradable for maximum flexibility and the ThinkPad has many security functions. Working with the ThinkPad input devices is a lot of fun, and Lenovo puts in a serviceable Low Power panel. The AMD Ryzen 7 Pro 7840U delivers a great performance and does not drain the battery fast. Fan noise and temperatures are nothing special, but also far away from bad. With the user replaceable keyboard, the ThinkPad T14 Gen 4 has a special feature rarely present on most modern laptops."
