The ASUS TUF Gaming F17 offers a larger screen and a slightly higher refresh rate, suitable for an immersive gaming experience and making it a good choice for gaming and general use. It also has hardware ray tracing and DLSS, enhancing gaming graphics, but it is less portable due to its larger size and offers shorter battery life. On the other hand, the Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 is more budget-friendly, has a better battery life, and is more portable due to its smaller size and lighter weight, making it ideal for gaming and general use on the go. Both have similar storage, RAM, and provide a gaming laptop appearance, but your decision should be based on whether you prioritize a larger display and gaming features over budget and portability. The ASUS TUF Gaming F17 and Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 are both only fair for gaming and AI.

How the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 and the Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 compare to other laptops
"One of the Asus TUF Gaming F17’s highlights is without a doubt its excellent gaming performance. The fact that Asus configured the RTX 3060 GPU for its specified maximum of 140 W is became immediately noticeable in our benchmarks. For a 17-inch notebook the F17 also offers a very long battery life, which makes it somewhat portable. On the flip side is the display. It may be saved by its good overall contrast ratio, but its overall brightness is simply too low, and its response times are too slow for a gaming device. The F17’s successor needs to improve upon this."
"The Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 is one of the most powerful RTX 3050 Ti laptops. If you disregard the mediocre quality of the case in terms of the material and workmanship, Lenovo has created a successful budget gaming laptop with the IdeaPad Gaming. Thanks to high TDPs and constant performance development, the Core i5-12500H and GeForce RTX 3050 Ti are able to show their full power, while in contrast, the (mostly slower) competitors deliver a better battery life. However, hardly any of the alternative laptops are able to reach the image quality of the Gaming 3. Most of the competitors are left behind in terms of the color space and brightness."
