The ASUS TUF Gaming F17 offers better performance for 3D rendering, machine learning, and engineering tasks because it has a dedicated gaming GPU, while the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" uses integrated graphics which is less powerful. However, the IdeaPad is lighter and has a higher battery life, making it more suitable for general use and portability. If intensive gaming or performance tasks are a priority, the ASUS would be a better fit. If you prioritize cost savings, longer usage on battery, and a lighter device for everyday tasks, the Lenovo might serve you better. Both have similar display sizes and resolution, but the ASUS has a higher refresh rate which is beneficial for gaming. Give Feedback

How the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 and the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" compare to other laptops
"One of the Asus TUF Gaming F17’s highlights is without a doubt its excellent gaming performance. The fact that Asus configured the RTX 3060 GPU for its specified maximum of 140 W is became immediately noticeable in our benchmarks. For a 17-inch notebook the F17 also offers a very long battery life, which makes it somewhat portable. On the flip side is the display. It may be saved by its good overall contrast ratio, but its overall brightness is simply too low, and its response times are too slow for a gaming device. The F17’s successor needs to improve upon this."
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" defies expectations. Indeed, it is just a minor upgrade over last year. However, this doesn’t make the laptop any less terrific. It’s got a great performance, courtesy of the Ryzen 5x25U processors. In addition, you get a pretty good battery life. Perhaps, the 2-hour decrease in video playback, compared to last year is not great, but still, 10 hours of Web browsing and 7 hours of video playback is okay for 17-inch notebooks."
