The ASUS TUF Gaming F17 is designed for gamers and those who need robust performance, so it's ideal for intensive tasks but tends to be bulkier and heavier, which compromises portability. The HP Spectre x360 14, on the other hand, is more expensive, offers versatility with its convertible design, and is typically more portable, making it suitable for everyday use and for professionals on the go. The HP is likely to have better battery life as well, but if raw performance for graphics-intensive applications is your priority, the ASUS might be the better choice. Give Feedback

The ASUS TUF Gaming F17, with its robust CPU and ample RAM, excels in tasks requiring high performance, such as gaming or resource-intensive applications, but its larger screen and gaming-focused build detract from portability and battery life compared to the HP Spectre x360 14, which offers a balance of performance suitable for everyday tasks, a high-quality screen, and superior portability and battery life due to its smaller form factor and efficient design. The HP Spectre x360 14 has a better screen than the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The HP Spectre x360 14 boasts superior screen resolution, brightness, and a panel type that renders vivid images and sharp text, making it excellent for general use and detail-oriented tasks like engineering and design work, where color accuracy is crucial. However, for gaming and 3D applications, the ASUS TUF Gaming F17, despite its lower overall screen quality, might be preferable due to its probably higher refresh rate, which ensures smoother visuals during fast-paced action, though it may fall short in resolution compared to the HP. Both laptops' screens may not fully satisfy gamers or 3D designers, as they would look for even better refresh rates and screen quality that neither of these models primarily focus on.

How the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 and the HP Spectre x360 14 compare to other laptops
"One of the Asus TUF Gaming F17’s highlights is without a doubt its excellent gaming performance. The fact that Asus configured the RTX 3060 GPU for its specified maximum of 140 W is became immediately noticeable in our benchmarks. For a 17-inch notebook the F17 also offers a very long battery life, which makes it somewhat portable. On the flip side is the display. It may be saved by its good overall contrast ratio, but its overall brightness is simply too low, and its response times are too slow for a gaming device. The F17’s successor needs to improve upon this."
"The numbers don’t lie — the HP Spectre x360 14 (2024) is a star, and a hell of a one at that. From performance to battery life, this machine is a dream. But why didn’t I give it a perfect score? Well, I wish the display performed better and that there were more ports to go around. If you’re itching for someone a little cheaper that offers a brighter display and significantly more battery life, I can only recommend the MacBook Pro 14 as a suitable substitute. Otherwise, the HP Spectre x360 14 (2024) is the perfect choice for those who want a reliable premium laptop."
