If you prioritize gaming and need a larger screen, the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 is tailored for gaming with a dedicated GPU and has a higher refresh rate display. The downside is that it is heavier and has shorter battery life, making it less portable. On the other hand, the Dell Inspiron 14 Plus offers better battery life, a higher resolution display, and is more portable due to its lighter weight and smaller size. It also has more RAM and storage out of the box, which is better for multitasking and data-intensive tasks, but it uses integrated graphics, which are not as powerful for gaming or 3D tasks. How the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 and the Dell Inspiron 14 Plus compare to other laptops
"One of the Asus TUF Gaming F17’s highlights is without a doubt its excellent gaming performance. The fact that Asus configured the RTX 3060 GPU for its specified maximum of 140 W is became immediately noticeable in our benchmarks. For a 17-inch notebook the F17 also offers a very long battery life, which makes it somewhat portable. On the flip side is the display. It may be saved by its good overall contrast ratio, but its overall brightness is simply too low, and its response times are too slow for a gaming device. The F17’s successor needs to improve upon this."
"The Dell Inspiron 14 Plus is for power users on a budget. If you're looking to maximize CPU and GPU performance on your next 14-inch laptop, then consider the pricier Razer Blade 14 or Asus Zephyrus G14. If you're looking for a thin-and-light 14-inch Ultrabook, then the Asus Zenbook 14 or LG Gram 14 may be better options. For the best of both worlds, however, the Dell Inspiron 14 Plus 7420 rides a fine line between extreme performance and portability while keeping prices at reasonable levels. Frequent travelers who rely on performance beyond what the Core U-series and integrated graphics series can offer will find the Dell to be a solid solution."
