Consider the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 if performance in 3D rendering, machine learning, engineering, and gaming is your priority, as it includes a dedicated gaming graphics card. However, this model is heavier and not as portable. On the other hand, the ASUS Zenbook 14X OLED offers a higher resolution touchscreen display with exceptional color accuracy, making it ideal for general use and creative tasks. It also has a longer battery life and is lighter, enhancing its portability. The tradeoff is that the Zenbook's integrated graphics may not handle intensive tasks as well as the TUF's dedicated GPU. The ASUS Zenbook 14X OLED has a better screen than the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, the Zenbook 14X OLED delivers vibrant colors, sharper images, and better visibility in varying lighting due to its high-resolution OLED panel, while the TUF Gaming F17's display, although decent, might not be as bright or color-accurate. The Zenbook's OLED display covers a wider color gamut, making it ideal for engineering and design professionals who require accurate color representation for precision work. How the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 and the ASUS Zenbook 14X OLED compare to other laptops
"One of the Asus TUF Gaming F17’s highlights is without a doubt its excellent gaming performance. The fact that Asus configured the RTX 3060 GPU for its specified maximum of 140 W is became immediately noticeable in our benchmarks. For a 17-inch notebook the F17 also offers a very long battery life, which makes it somewhat portable. On the flip side is the display. It may be saved by its good overall contrast ratio, but its overall brightness is simply too low, and its response times are too slow for a gaming device. The F17’s successor needs to improve upon this."
"While one of the more budget-friendly configurations of the Asus Zenbook 14X OLED may make a compelling case as a top value pick, it’s difficult to be disappointed with the more expensive model we reviewed here. At its core, for all models, it’s a luxury-built laptop with extreme portability and a gorgeous OLED display. Our unit rocks with a snappy Core i9 processor for getting real work done, and the discrete GPU—even if it has a clear power ceiling—is a bonus for creative pros."
