The ASUS TUF Gaming F17 offers strong performance for gaming and engineering tasks with a dedicated Nvidia RTX 3050 Ti GPU, larger screen size, and higher refresh rate, making it suitable for intensive gaming and applications. It's heftier and has slightly less battery life. The ASUS Vivobook Go 14 is more portable, lighter, with better battery life but less storage space and lower performance due to its entry-level AMD graphics, making it suitable for general use and lighter tasks. If top performance is a priority and you don't mind a larger, less portable device, the Gaming F17 is a good choice. However, if you value portability and battery life, and your computing needs are moderate, the Vivobook Go 14 may be more appropriate. Give Feedback

The ASUS TUF Gaming F17 is good for general use, while the ASUS Vivobook Go 14 is only fair.
The ASUS TUF Gaming F17 offers a larger screen and a more powerful CPU and GPU combination, which may cater to those needing better performance for tasks like casual gaming or multimedia work, but it's heavier with a shorter battery life, impacting its portability. On the other hand, the ASUS Vivobook Go 14 is lighter with longer battery life for increased mobility and is suitable for basic tasks, though it has lower storage capacity and less powerful hardware which might not be optimal for more demanding applications.

The ASUS TUF Gaming F17 has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook Go 14 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
If you primarily use your laptop for everyday tasks like browsing the web and using office applications, the ASUS TUF Gaming F17's screen will be pleasing due to its resolution and brightness, but if your work involves engineering or design, the color range may not be up to par for precision tasks that require a wide color gamut. The ASUS Vivobook Go 14 offers a balanced display for general usage and design work, though it too may fall short for color-sensitive tasks. When it comes to gaming or working with 3D content, neither laptop will serve you well, as they lack the high refresh rates necessary for smooth motion and the panel types and resolutions that are important for detailed visual work.

How the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 and the ASUS Vivobook Go 14 compare to other laptops
"One of the Asus TUF Gaming F17’s highlights is without a doubt its excellent gaming performance. The fact that Asus configured the RTX 3060 GPU for its specified maximum of 140 W is became immediately noticeable in our benchmarks. For a 17-inch notebook the F17 also offers a very long battery life, which makes it somewhat portable. On the flip side is the display. It may be saved by its good overall contrast ratio, but its overall brightness is simply too low, and its response times are too slow for a gaming device. The F17’s successor needs to improve upon this."
"The lack of a backlit keyboard in this price segment shouldn't sway the buyer the other way. However, it still comes down to user preference. The Vivobook Go 14 is a decent laptop in an extremely competitive price segment. A few omissions are a part of the balancing to reach the price segment. The Asus Vivobook Go 14 is a rare find when it comes to the price to performance ratio."
