For intensive engineering tasks, the Lenovo Legion 5i Pro offers a higher screen resolution and superior color coverage, benefiting tasks that require precise color representation or more screen real estate. On the other hand, the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 has a slightly better battery life and weighs less, making it more portable. If portability and gaming are priorities, the ASUS with its advanced GPU serves well, but for professionals working in design or video editing, the Lenovo's display features are advantageous despite its heavier build and slightly less battery efficiency. Both are similarly priced midrange options, so your choice should be guided by these specific usage and mobility considerations. Give Feedback

The Lenovo Legion Pro 5i has a better screen than the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, and content creation.
The ASUS TUF Gaming F15, while adequate for general purposes with its respectable resolution and brightness, falls behind for engineering due to limited color gamut coverage that is essential for precision in color work. The Lenovo Legion Pro 5i excels in both general and engineering uses, offering higher resolution and brightness, along with a wider color gamut that ensures accurate color representation critical for design tasks. However, both laptops offer lower refresh rates, which hinders the quality of the gaming and 3D experience where smoother visuals are key, and thus are not ideal options for those specific needs.

How the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 and the Lenovo Legion Pro 5i compare to other laptops
"Aside from all the chassis updates, the new TUF Gaming is most notable for its much higher TGP target of 140 W compared to only 95 W on the previous generation. PC makers everywhere are using the same GeForce GPUs this year since Nvidia has yet to launch the successor to the mobile RTX 3000 series. The more demanding processors of the new TUF Gaming has directly impacted battery life and the size of the AC adapter. Don't expect runtimes to be longer than on the previous generation under most conditions and be prepared to carry around an even larger AC adapter than before."
"The midpriced Lenovo Legion Pro 5i Gen 8 follows some of our favorite gaming machines, including last year's model and the higher-end Legion Pro 7i Gen 8 tested earlier this year. But pedigree doesn't count for much in the computer world, and gaming laptops require a certain level of power and graphics performance to justify their prices. The Pro 5i Gen 8 just doesn't do that, offering middling CPU and GPU performance rather than the sort of muscle that would make it a great value."
