The Lenovo Legion Pro 5 has a better screen than the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, and content creation.
For general use, the ASUS TUF Gaming F15's screen resolution and brightness provide a clear and vivid display, but the panel type may not offer the best viewing angles, which could impact the overall visual experience. The Lenovo Legion Pro 5's superior resolution and brightness, coupled with a high-quality panel, ensure crisp and vibrant imagery from various angles, making it ideal for tasks like browsing and video streaming. However, for engineering and design, while the Legion Pro 5 delivers richer colors due to better coverage of professional color gamuts, both laptops fall short for gaming and 3D needs because of their lower refresh rates, meaning they won't provide as smooth motion for fast-paced games or 3D rendering.

How the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 and the Lenovo Legion Pro 5 compare to other laptops
"Aside from all the chassis updates, the new TUF Gaming is most notable for its much higher TGP target of 140 W compared to only 95 W on the previous generation. PC makers everywhere are using the same GeForce GPUs this year since Nvidia has yet to launch the successor to the mobile RTX 3000 series. The more demanding processors of the new TUF Gaming has directly impacted battery life and the size of the AC adapter. Don't expect runtimes to be longer than on the previous generation under most conditions and be prepared to carry around an even larger AC adapter than before."
"It doesn't quite match its Legion Pro 7i sibling as an Editors' Choice winner, but Lenovo's AMD-powered Legion Pro 5 Gen 8 is a stylish, well-built gaming laptop with solid performance at both 1080p and its sharper native resolution. It's cheaper than some comparably equipped machines and better than some similarly priced ones. That's a recipe for success, even without its frequent availability of discounts or sales. A brighter screen and longer battery life would be nice, but even as is the Legion Pro 5 earns a solid recommendation."
