Considering your needs, the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 stands out if you require superior performance for tasks such as 3D modeling, machine learning, or gaming due to its high-end graphics card and robust processor. Its larger screen and higher refresh rate support fast-moving images, but these features contribute to its heavier weight and its battery lasts for a shorter duration. The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro, on the other hand, offers a lighter, more compact design with a higher resolution touchscreen, making it an excellent choice for general use, with portability and a longer battery life. However, it may not handle performance-intensive tasks as well as the ASUS but is more affordable. Therefore, if you prioritize gaming or performance-heavy tasks, the ASUS is preferable, while for portability, battery life, and day-to-day activities, the Lenovo would be a suitable choice. The ASUS TUF Gaming F15 is very good for gaming and AI, while the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro is only fair.
The ASUS TUF Gaming F15 is well-suited for gaming and 3D applications owing to its powerful Nvidia RTX 4070 GPU and a high screen refresh rate of 144Hz, enabling smoother visuals in fast-paced scenes. The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro, while fair for these tasks, has a less powerful integrated GPU, the Iris Xe, and a lower screen refresh rate of 90Hz, which might not deliver as fluid an experience in gaming and high-motion visuals.

The ASUS TUF Gaming F15 is very good for engineering and design, while the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro is good.
The ASUS TUF Gaming F15 stands out for engineering and design use primarily due to a powerful CPU and dedicated GPU, essential for heavy computations and graphics rendering, whereas the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro, with solid CPU and integrated graphics, offers a balance of performance and high screen quality. However, the ASUS's heftier build may hinder portability compared to the slimmer and lighter Lenovo, which also boasts higher resolution and better color accuracy.

The ASUS TUF Gaming F15 has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro for content creation, while the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro has a better screen for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
For general use, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro offers superior screen quality with its higher resolution and brighter display, providing crisp and vivid visuals, which is essential for browsing, streaming, and productivity tasks. Engineering and design professionals would benefit from the Lenovo's excellent color accuracy and wider color gamut coverage, ensuring that designs and projects appear true to life and are color consistent. How the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 and the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro compare to other laptops
"Aside from all the chassis updates, the new TUF Gaming is most notable for its much higher TGP target of 140 W compared to only 95 W on the previous generation. PC makers everywhere are using the same GeForce GPUs this year since Nvidia has yet to launch the successor to the mobile RTX 3000 series. The more demanding processors of the new TUF Gaming has directly impacted battery life and the size of the AC adapter. Don't expect runtimes to be longer than on the previous generation under most conditions and be prepared to carry around an even larger AC adapter than before."
"The main selling point of the IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro versus a regular IdeaPad Slim 7 is its faster Core H-series CPU. In reality, the Core i7-11370H is only marginally faster than the U-series Core i7-1165G7 to the point where most users are not likely to notice the benefits. The slight performance uptick comes at the cost of slightly higher power consumption as well meaning owners will have to deal with potentially warmer temperatures or louder fans to compensate. Unless if you happen to be a power user, then the regular non-Pro model will be more than enough. Once you go 90 Hz, you can't go back."
