If you prioritize gaming performance and are engaged in tasks like 3D modeling or machine learning, the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 is equipped with a powerful Nvidia RTX GPU, making it well-suited for these purposes; however, it is heavier and offers less battery life, which affects its portability. On the other hand, the Gateway 15.6" is more budget-friendly and lighter, making it easily portable with decent battery life, but it has a less powerful Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics, which is suitable for general use and less intensive tasks, and not for heavy gaming or demanding engineering applications. "Aside from all the chassis updates, the new TUF Gaming is most notable for its much higher TGP target of 140 W compared to only 95 W on the previous generation. PC makers everywhere are using the same GeForce GPUs this year since Nvidia has yet to launch the successor to the mobile RTX 3000 series. The more demanding processors of the new TUF Gaming has directly impacted battery life and the size of the AC adapter. Don't expect runtimes to be longer than on the previous generation under most conditions and be prepared to carry around an even larger AC adapter than before."
"Some concessions have to be made when shopping for a budget laptop. Walmart's Gateway Ultra Slim laptops succeeds on the affordability front and delivers serviceable specs and good battery life, though it's hard to claim it's the best (or even particularly good) at any particular aspect. Its build quality, especially the touchpad, is mediocre, and its performance is decent but doesn't lead the way. The Gateway does undercut the cost of some competitors and offers ample storage with good connectivity, so it's not to be ignored."
