Considering the tradeoffs between the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 and the Dell Inspiron 15 3511, the ASUS offers significantly higher performance suitable for gaming, intensive engineering tasks, and demanding applications due to its advanced processor and graphics card. However, it is heavier and bulkier, making it less portable than the Dell. On the other hand, the Dell, while more affordable and lighter, is equipped with moderate specs that are adequate for general use, light productivity tasks, and media consumption but will struggle with more intensive tasks. The battery capacity of the ASUS is greater, which should translate to longer usage time, but this will also depend on the usage scenario. If portability and budget are your main concerns and your usage is relatively light, the Dell Inspiron may suffice. But if your work or entertainment demands substantial computing power and you're okay with a heftier machine and price, the ASUS TUF Gaming is a clear winner. Give Feedback

The ASUS TUF Gaming F15 is very good for gaming and AI, while the Dell Inspiron 15 3511 is only fair.
The ASUS TUF Gaming F15 is considered better for gaming and 3D applications because it features a high-performance Nvidia RTX 4070 GPU and a screen with a high refresh rate of 144Hz, enhancing the visual fluidity and detail in fast-moving scenes. In contrast, the Dell Inspiron 15 3511 has a significantly weaker Intel Iris Xe GPU and a standard refresh rate of 60Hz, which means it can handle lighter gaming but won't provide as smooth or detailed graphics as the ASUS.

The ASUS TUF Gaming F15 is very good for engineering and design, while the Dell Inspiron 15 3511 is good.
The ASUS TUF Gaming F15 stands out for engineering and design purposes with its high-performing i7 CPU, dedicated RTX 4070 GPU, and 144Hz IPS display, making it excellent for complex modeling and GPU-accelerated tasks, although it’s less portable and louder. Conversely, the Dell Inspiron 15 3511 with its i5 CPU and integrated Iris Xe graphics is sufficient for less demanding design work and is more portable with better operating noise management but falls short on the refresh rate and graphical performance.

The ASUS TUF Gaming F15 has a better screen than the Dell Inspiron 15 3511 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
When considering screen quality for general use, factors like panel type, resolution, and brightness are crucial; the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 provides a crisp and bright display suited to everyday tasks, while the Dell Inspiron 15 3511 offers an adequate display that should be satisfactory for most non-specialist users. For engineering and design work, color accuracy becomes pivotal for precision, and the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 generally offers better color coverage, a consideration that may outweigh its cost, whereas the Dell might be more cost-effective for someone who doesn't prioritize color fidelity. In the realm of 3D and gaming, the ASUS TUF Gaming F15's higher refresh rate ensures smoother visuals crucial for these applications; however, both laptops may not meet the highest standards sought by enthusiasts and professionals in these fields due to the lower screen quality in comparison with specialized high-refresh-rate panels.

How the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 and the Dell Inspiron 15 3511 compare to other laptops
"Aside from all the chassis updates, the new TUF Gaming is most notable for its much higher TGP target of 140 W compared to only 95 W on the previous generation. PC makers everywhere are using the same GeForce GPUs this year since Nvidia has yet to launch the successor to the mobile RTX 3000 series. The more demanding processors of the new TUF Gaming has directly impacted battery life and the size of the AC adapter. Don't expect runtimes to be longer than on the previous generation under most conditions and be prepared to carry around an even larger AC adapter than before."
"The Dell Inspiron 15 3000 (3511) is a solid, if unremarkable, 15-inch budget laptop. It improves on many of the issues we had with the previous 3505 model, and with the inclusion of Windows 11, the 3511 is already a step above its competition. The lack of a USB-C port, the subpar speakers, and the dim display are drawbacks to factor in, but it's still one of the better 15-inch budget laptops on the market, especially when you consider it's under $400."
