The ASUS TUF Gaming F15 is a midrange laptop that is more expensive but offers a powerful Intel processor and Nvidia RTX graphics, making it better suited for gaming, 3D rendering, and machine learning tasks. It has a larger screen size, better performance scores for intensive tasks, and hardware features like ray tracing and DLSS which are beneficial for gaming. However, it is heavier, which impacts portability, and has a shorter battery life.
On the other hand, the Dell Inspiron 14 7435 is less expensive and offers a smaller, lighter design with a touchscreen, better battery life, and a 16:10 aspect ratio display for extra vertical space which could be good for general productivity and engineering tasks. Its AMD Ryzen processor and integrated Vega graphics are less powerful, which means it won't handle intensive gaming or 3D tasks as efficiently. It is more portable due to its lighter weight and longer battery life. The choice depends on whether you prioritize gaming and high-performance tasks or portability, touchscreen, and cost savings. The ASUS TUF Gaming F15 is very good for engineering and design, while the Dell Inpsiron 14 7435 is good.
The ASUS TUF Gaming F15 offers a higher-end CPU and GPU combination with the Intel i7 and Nvidia RTX 4070, providing superior performance for demanding engineering and design applications compared to the Dell Inspiron 14 7435, which has an AMD Ryzen 7 CPU with integrated Vega 8 graphics that deliver good but less powerful performance. The ASUS also has a larger, higher refresh rate screen which is preferable for design work, albeit with a tradeoff in portability and battery life compared to the lighter and longer-lasting battery of the Inspiron.

The ASUS TUF Gaming F15 has a better screen than the Dell Inpsiron 14 7435 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
The ASUS TUF Gaming F15 offers a screen that has decent brightness and resolution, making it suitable for everyday tasks, but its limited color range affects precision needed in engineering and its lower refresh rate does not cater to the smooth visuals desired in high-paced gaming. In contrast, the Dell Inspiron 14 has similar specifications that serve well for general and engineering use due to adequate resolution and acceptable color accuracy; however, it falls short for gaming as it also lacks a high refresh rate which is vital for fluid motion in games and 3D simulations. Therefore, both laptops are competent for basic and creative tasks to an extent, but neither is optimized for the high-refresh needs of gamers and professionals working with dynamic 3D content.

How the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 and the Dell Inpsiron 14 7435 compare to other laptops
"Aside from all the chassis updates, the new TUF Gaming is most notable for its much higher TGP target of 140 W compared to only 95 W on the previous generation. PC makers everywhere are using the same GeForce GPUs this year since Nvidia has yet to launch the successor to the mobile RTX 3000 series. The more demanding processors of the new TUF Gaming has directly impacted battery life and the size of the AC adapter. Don't expect runtimes to be longer than on the previous generation under most conditions and be prepared to carry around an even larger AC adapter than before."
"We see no shame in an economy laptop missing the four-star mark. Frankly, we considered giving the Inspiron 14 2-in-1 three-and-a-half stars for its low price, competitive performance, and long battery life. Unfortunately, working with a screen that can't deliver at least 300 nits of brightness is simply no fun to the point of detrimental. Still, if you're looking for a convertible laptop on a tight budget, it's worth keeping an eye on Dell's sales and discounts. That Lavender Blue model is fairly tempting."
