The ASUS TUF Gaming F15, being a gaming laptop, usually offers high performance suitable for demanding tasks like 3D rendering, machine learning, and modern gaming, but it comes at a higher cost and is less portable due to its bulkier build and typically shorter battery life. On the other hand, the ASUS Zenbook 14 is designed for general use, offering a good balance of performance and portability with a more compact design and longer battery life, making it ideal for day-to-day tasks and travel, all at a lower price point. If your primary need is for lighter tasks and mobility, the Zenbook 14 will serve you well, but if you require a machine for resource-intensive applications and gaming, and don’t mind the additional expense and weight, the TUF Gaming F15 is the better option. The ASUS TUF Gaming F15 is very good for engineering and design, while the ASUS Zenbook 14 is good.
The ASUS TUF Gaming F15 surpasses the ASUS Zenbook 14 in engineering and design use due to its more powerful CPU and GPU, greater RAM, and higher storage capacity, which all contribute significantly to handling demanding tasks and complex software that are common in these fields. While the Zenbook 14 offers a higher resolution OLED screen for sharper image quality and greater portability due to being lighter and having a longer battery life, its overall lower hardware specs make it less suitable for more intensive engineering and design applications compared to the TUF Gaming F15.

The ASUS TUF Gaming F15 has a better screen than the ASUS Zenbook 14 for content creation, while the ASUS Zenbook 14 has a better screen for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
The ASUS TUF Gaming F15 likely has a screen that offers a balance between resolution and brightness, making it adequate for everyday tasks but its color range might be limited, affecting tasks requiring precise color accuracy like engineering and design. The ASUS Zenbook 14’s very good screen quality for general use and engineering means it probably boasts higher resolution, superior brightness, and a wider color gamut, which ensures that colors are more accurately represented, crucial for detailed design work. However, both laptops suffer while gaming or doing 3D work because they lack high refresh rates, which is crucial for smooth visuals in fast-paced environments.

How the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 and the ASUS Zenbook 14 compare to other laptops
"Aside from all the chassis updates, the new TUF Gaming is most notable for its much higher TGP target of 140 W compared to only 95 W on the previous generation. PC makers everywhere are using the same GeForce GPUs this year since Nvidia has yet to launch the successor to the mobile RTX 3000 series. The more demanding processors of the new TUF Gaming has directly impacted battery life and the size of the AC adapter. Don't expect runtimes to be longer than on the previous generation under most conditions and be prepared to carry around an even larger AC adapter than before."
"Users who travel frequently and are looking for a portable laptop are in the right place with the Asus ZenBook 14. The sleek case is extremely light (1.2 kg) and surprisingly thin (1.5 cm). Outdoor use is also enjoyable thanks to the bright Full HD display, which is something that can rarely be said about laptops with TN or IPS panels. The excellent battery life complements this as well. Longer trips are no problem with the ZenBook 14. Another plus point is the high-performance Ryzen 7 5700U, which often leaves the Intel competition in the dust thanks to its large number of cores."
