The ASUS TUF Gaming F15, being more expensive, offers a robust gaming experience with a powerful processor, better graphics, and a higher refresh rate display which is ideal for intensive gaming and demanding engineering applications. However, it is heavier and has shorter battery life. On the other hand, the ASUS Vivobook 15X is more budget-friendly and lighter, making it highly portable with longer battery life, but it has less storage, lower RAM, and a less capable processor and graphics, suitable mainly for general use and tasks that are not graphics-intensive. If performance in gaming and engineering is essential and the extra cost is justifiable, the TUF Gaming F15 is the better choice; if not, the Vivobook 15X offers adequate performance for general use with the benefits of portability and cost savings. The ASUS TUF Gaming F15 has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook 15X for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The ASUS TUF Gaming F15's screen delivers vibrant colors and clarity which benefits everyday tasks, but its limited color range doesn't meet the high standards required for professional engineering and design work. The ASUS Vivobook 15X, with similar traits, offers satisfactory visuals for daily use and is serviceable for design tasks, though it doesn't excel in color accuracy as high-end design-focused screens do. Both laptops fall short for gaming and 3D applications due to lower refresh rates, not providing the smooth visuals that fast-paced or highly detailed content demands.

How the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 and the ASUS Vivobook 15X compare to other laptops
"Aside from all the chassis updates, the new TUF Gaming is most notable for its much higher TGP target of 140 W compared to only 95 W on the previous generation. PC makers everywhere are using the same GeForce GPUs this year since Nvidia has yet to launch the successor to the mobile RTX 3000 series. The more demanding processors of the new TUF Gaming has directly impacted battery life and the size of the AC adapter. Don't expect runtimes to be longer than on the previous generation under most conditions and be prepared to carry around an even larger AC adapter than before."
"All in all, my day on the Vivobook had its ups and downs. It is a really pretty and well-built device, and it had all of the functionality I needed to get me through my browser-based workload. But the speakers weren’t my favorite, and the battery life was just too short."
