When choosing between the ASUS TUF Gaming A15 and the Dell G15 5520, consider that the ASUS offers a more recent AMD processor and a higher-tier graphics card, which may provide better gaming and intensive task performance. On the other hand, the Dell, despite having an Intel processor and slightly lower tier graphics card, may offer better value for the price if your tasks don't demand top-of-the-line gaming performance. The Dell also appears to be heavier than the ASUS, potentially reducing its portability. Each laptop has its own unique design and aesthetic qualities, such as different keyboard backlighting options, which might sway your preference based on personal taste. Battery capacity is another consideration; the ASUS has a larger battery, possibly leading to longer unplugged usage, whereas the Dell's battery is smaller, which could mean more frequent charging. How the ASUS TUF Gaming A15 and the Dell G15 5520 compare to other laptops
"With the release of the TUF Gaming A15, Asos have concentrated on the essentials: gaming performance. Our base version, which can be had for around $1,169, already provided enough power to play current games smoothly in a native resolution of 1080p and with maximum details - thanks to its new Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop. If you utilize upscaling, then you can even manage to run ray tracing."
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | April 2023
"The Dell G15 (2022) is a 15.6-inch budget gaming laptop, and is great for gaming. You can configure the laptop with powerful Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and various NVIDIA dedicated GPUs, all of which deliver a smooth gaming experience at 1080p. There's also a QHD 240Hz display option if you want better visuals, though you'll have to pair it with the top-end NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti to get good frame rates. It doesn't get overly hot or loud under load, and there's no noticeable throttling on the CPU or GPU. Unfortunately, the 120Hz panel has a slow response time, causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate."
