The ASUS TUF Dash 15 offers a balance between portability and performance, suitable for gaming and general use with a higher battery life for mobility. In contrast, the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 has a larger screen and a full-size keyboard with a number pad, enhancing user experience for gaming and multimedia, but it's heavier with a shorter battery life, which makes it less portable. If top-notch performance and portability are your priority, consider the Dash 15, otherwise, if you prefer a larger display for an immersive experience and can accept lower mobility, the Gaming F17 may be right for you. The ASUS TUF Dash 15 has a better screen than the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 for gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
For general use, the ASUS TUF Dash 15 offers a balance of resolution and brightness conducive to activities like browsing and video streaming, whereas the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 has similar attributes but may not be as bright or crisp. How the ASUS TUF Dash 15 and the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 compare to other laptops
"The Asus TUF Dash F15 FX517ZR is a laptop with mobile RTX 3070 and acceptable battery life. The Asus TUF Dash F15 was made for high-performance applications like video editing, rendering, and gaming. The laptop can manage the latter in QHD resolution and at high to maximum settings. However, the focus isn't on maximum performance, but instead, it's about a compromise between performance and portability."
"One of the Asus TUF Gaming F17’s highlights is without a doubt its excellent gaming performance. The fact that Asus configured the RTX 3060 GPU for its specified maximum of 140 W is became immediately noticeable in our benchmarks. For a 17-inch notebook the F17 also offers a very long battery life, which makes it somewhat portable. On the flip side is the display. It may be saved by its good overall contrast ratio, but its overall brightness is simply too low, and its response times are too slow for a gaming device. The F17’s successor needs to improve upon this."
