Choosing between the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G15 and the Lenovo Legion 5 largely depends on your budget and usage needs. The ASUS model comes with a more powerful AMD Ryzen 9 processor and RTX 3070 graphics, giving you superior performance for intensive tasks like 3D modeling, machine learning, and high-end gaming. This performance, however, comes with a higher price tag. The Lenovo Legion 5, equipped with an AMD Ryzen 7 and RTX 4060, offers solid performance at a lower cost, which should suffice for general use and mid-level gaming. It's heavier, which affects portability, but it's also more wallet-friendly. Battery life is a consideration; if you need your laptop to last longer on a single charge, pay attention to those specifications when making your decision. If high-end performance is less critical and budget is a constraint, the Lenovo Legion 5 offers a great value proposition. If your work or gaming requires top-notch capabilities and you're willing to invest more, the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G15 is the better choice, despite its higher cost and slightly lower portability due to its lighter weight. Florian Glaser | February 2021
"As long as you're aware of the fact that the GeForce RTX 3080 laptop version can only unfold its potential to a limited extent due to Asus's low TDP setting and that it can be slower than a fast RTX 3070 laptop, the ROG Zephyrus G15 GA503Q cuts a fine figure. One of the biggest highlights turns out to be the WQHD panel, since it attracts customers with 165 Hz, relatively fast response times, FreeSync, and good color-space coverage. Other selling points are the surprisingly rich sound, the long battery life, and the sleek design. In terms of looks, the white edition stands out nicely from the competition."

Andreas Osthoff | September 2021
"The Lenovo Legion 5 15 is an affordable gaming laptop with a lot of power. The new AMD processor Ryzen 7 5800H offers plenty of performance and it is also very efficient. The combination with the fast 130W version of the GeForce RTX 3060 ensures high gaming performance. We also like the fast 165 Hz display with the 1080p resolution. The automatic graphics switching causes some problems with stutters, which are very annoying. If you do not need long battery runtimes, you should definitely deactivate the hybrid graphics mode in Lenovo's Vantage app. The Legion 5 15 is never silent."
