The Lenovo Legion 5 15" offers a balance of cost and performance, particularly if you find it at a lower price compared to the MSI Cyborg 15. Selecting the Lenovo might give you more power for your money with a similar graphics card and more memory, which could be beneficial for demanding applications and multitasking. However, if weight and size are critical factors for you, the MSI Cyborg 15 is lighter and slightly thinner, making it more portable for travel or on-the-go usage. Keep in mind that the Lenovo has a higher resolution display, which can provide a sharper image for media and games, though this could affect its battery life when compared to the MSI with its standard full HD screen. Both laptops seem to be designed for a similar audience, possibly gamers or professionals in need of a robust system, so your decision might come down to which aspects—cost efficiency, portability, or display quality—hold the most value to you. The Lenovo Legion 5 15" has a better screen than the MSI Cyborg 15 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
If you prioritize a vivid display and spend most of your time on general productivity or engineering tasks, the Lenovo Legion 5 offers a superior screen with better resolution and brightness, complemented by higher color accuracy which is crucial for design work. However, for gaming or any task that benefits from fluid motion, the Lenovo's lower refresh rate might disappoint, whereas both laptops may not meet the desired standards for the smoothest experience. If the MSI Cyborg 15 aligns better with your budget, it's a serviceable option for everyday tasks and design, but likewise, it won't excel in gaming scenarios due to similar refresh rate limitations.

How the Lenovo Legion 5 15" and the MSI Cyborg 15 compare to other laptops
"The Lenovo Legion 5 15 is an affordable gaming laptop with a lot of power. The new AMD processor Ryzen 7 5800H offers plenty of performance and it is also very efficient. The combination with the fast 130W version of the GeForce RTX 3060 ensures high gaming performance. We also like the fast 165 Hz display with the 1080p resolution. The automatic graphics switching causes some problems with stutters, which are very annoying. If you do not need long battery runtimes, you should definitely deactivate the hybrid graphics mode in Lenovo's Vantage app. The Legion 5 15 is never silent."
"The focus of the MSI Cyborg 15 lies on a compromise of performance, mobility, and power consumption. Due to the reduced performance settings, the CPU and GPU perform below their capabilities. Nonetheless, their computing power is still sufficient for FHD gaming at high to maximum settings even then. The power consumption, which is low for a gaming laptop, can be translated into a good battery life. Realistic values of 7 to 8 h are still possible, despite the relatively small battery capacity of 53.5 Wh. Unfortunately the USB-C port doesn't offer any support for Power Delivery, which would be a sensible feature in the case of the Cyborg."
