The choice between an ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 and a Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" depends largely on your needs and budget. The ASUS is a high-end gaming laptop, which means it offers top performance for gaming, 3D applications, and engineering software, but it's less portable due to its size and weight, and generally has a shorter battery life. In contrast, the Lenovo IdeaPad is more affordable and lightweight, making it very portable and likely to have a longer battery life, but it isn't designed for intensive tasks and won't perform as well in demanding applications. If you prioritize gaming or resource-intensive tasks and can invest more, the ASUS is a clear choice. Otherwise, for general use like web browsing, document editing, and media consumption, the Lenovo should be sufficient at a lower cost. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Vaidyanathan Subramaniam | May 2022
"Asus continues to refine the ROG Strix Scar lineup with new upgrades. The Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 offers almost everything you would expect from a gaming laptop at this price. The build quality is great, connectivity options are decent, and there is enough scope for internal upgrades as well. Asus reverts to membrane switches for the keyboard — though not as "clickety" as the opto-mechanical ones we saw with last year's model, they still make for a decent typing and gaming experience. The lack of biometrics in any form is a downer."

Alex Iliev | April 2023
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is affordable and pretty efficient. At the end of the day, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 (15″, 2023) is one of the better affordable laptops money can buy right now. It has a decent performance, albeit coming from a CPU that is based on old architecture. Playing low-intensity games is possible but at low to medium settings. We are really happy with the cooling setup, but the main event here is the battery life. We got 9 hours of either Web browsing or video playback, which is a great result. Especially if you compare this device with the ASUS E410."
