The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 offers higher display refresh rates, making it more suitable for fast-paced gaming and smoother visuals. It is an upper midrange priced model, and generally considered more expensive. On the other hand, the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 is more affordable, and although it has a less capable main processor than its counterpart, it features a newer GPU, which may improve performance in some tasks. Both come with a large battery capacity and similar screen size and quality. However, the Strix Scar 15's slightly better screen, keyboard, and build quality mean it may offer a better experience for intensive tasks and gaming at the cost of portability and price. The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 has a better screen than the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, and content creation.
The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15, with its high-resolution display and brightness, offers clear and vivid visuals for everyday tasks, making it suitable for general use, but its limited color gamut may not fully meet the precision required for engineering and design work. The ASUS TUF Gaming F15's screen, while not as bright, also provides acceptable clarity for general purposes, but similar to the Scar 15, its color range may not suffice for specialized design tasks where color accuracy is key. Both laptops, having lower refresh rates, fall short for gaming and 3D applications, where smoother motion and rapid screen updates are crucial for an optimal experience.

The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 and ASUS TUF Gaming F15 are both good for general use.
The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 offers a higher screen brightness and wider color coverage which can enhance the visual experience for general tasks, and its more powerful CPU lends to better performance; however, it is slightly heavier and thus less portable than the ASUS TUF Gaming F15, which still offers solid CPU performance for everyday tasks along with comparable screen size and RAM but could fall short in color accuracy and peak brightness for screen quality. Both laptops have significant battery capacity, but the tradeoff in the TUF's portability could mean marginally decreased battery life in real-world use.

How the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 and the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 compare to other laptops
"Asus continues to refine the ROG Strix Scar lineup with new upgrades. The Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 offers almost everything you would expect from a gaming laptop at this price. The build quality is great, connectivity options are decent, and there is enough scope for internal upgrades as well. Asus reverts to membrane switches for the keyboard — though not as "clickety" as the opto-mechanical ones we saw with last year's model, they still make for a decent typing and gaming experience. The lack of biometrics in any form is a downer."
"Aside from all the chassis updates, the new TUF Gaming is most notable for its much higher TGP target of 140 W compared to only 95 W on the previous generation. PC makers everywhere are using the same GeForce GPUs this year since Nvidia has yet to launch the successor to the mobile RTX 3000 series. The more demanding processors of the new TUF Gaming has directly impacted battery life and the size of the AC adapter. Don't expect runtimes to be longer than on the previous generation under most conditions and be prepared to carry around an even larger AC adapter than before."
