If you need a laptop for general use with extra portability and longer battery life, the Lenovo ThinkBook 13s is a more affordable option with a smaller screen and lighter weight. However, if your work includes intensive gaming, 3D rendering, or engineering applications and you require higher performance, the ASUS ROG Strix G17 provides better hardware for these tasks but is less portable and more expensive. Both have good quality displays, but the ASUS offers higher refresh rates suitable for fast-paced games, while the Lenovo features a touchscreen. Consider the ASUS if performance is a priority or the Lenovo for portability and regular tasks. Give Feedback

The ASUS ROG Strix G17 has a better screen than the Lenovo ThinkBook 13s for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, and content creation.
When considering screen quality for general use, the ASUS ROG Strix G17 likely offers a vivid display with high resolution and brightness, which enhances the viewing experience for everyday tasks. For engineering and design, this same laptop provides a wide color gamut, ensuring that colors in detailed plans and graphics are accurately represented. However, for gaming and 3D applications, the ASUS' refresh rate may fall short of providing the ultra-smooth visuals desired, while the Lenovo ThinkBook 13s, with its good screen quality, offers sufficient resolution and panel quality for general use and engineering work but similarly lags in the high refresh rate needed for gaming.

How the ASUS ROG Strix G17 and the Lenovo ThinkBook 13s compare to other laptops
"The Asus ROG Strix G17 is an attractive but unbalanced gaming laptop. Its potent AMD Ryzen 9 processor excels in 1080p gaming, but playing at 1440p leaves the middling GeForce RTX 4060 GPU shouldering most of the burden. The display is exceptionally colorful, which is handy for content creators, but since this is a gaming laptop it would be better served with improved HDR capabilities. If battery life isn't a priority, the Strix G17 could serve as a designer by day and a gamer by night."
"The best thing about the ThinkBook 13S is that it’s a good deal. Business buyers looking for ThinkPad-level performance and software without ThinkPad pricing will probably find the ThinkBook a solid option. While nothing about it is really spectacular, it’s certainly unusual to see the ThinkBook’s screen resolution at a sub-$1,000 price, and its performance will be more than adequate for most office tasks. The generous port selection, 16:10 aspect ratio, physical webcam shutter, and clear audio are certainly icing on the cake."
