The ASUS ROG Strix G17 offers superior performance for tasks like 3D rendering and machine learning, thanks to its screen size and quality, as well as its powerful processor and graphics. However, it's bulkier and slightly less portable than the ASUS TUF Gaming F15. The TUF F15, while also strong in performance, may have a less impressive display for color work but gains points with its higher portability due to being lighter and thinner. Both provide similar battery life and are equipped with ample storage and memory. The ROG might be a better choice for intense graphic work and gaming at home, while the TUF could serve well for gaming and productivity on the go. Give Feedback

The ASUS ROG Strix G17 and ASUS TUF Gaming F15 are both very good for engineering and design, though the ASUS ROG Strix G17 is somewhat better.
The ASUS ROG Strix G17 is equipped with an advanced AMD Ryzen CPU and high-end Nvidia GPU, alongside a larger, higher-resolution screen which is better for detailed design work, at the expense of being less portable due to its size and weight. In comparison, the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 offers a powerful Intel CPU and comparable Nvidia GPU but in a more compact form with a smaller, lower-resolution screen, making it better for portability and still very capable for engineering tasks.

The ASUS ROG Strix G17 has a better screen than the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The ASUS ROG Strix G17 offers a high-resolution display and bright panel, making text and images crisp and clear for everyday tasks, while its wide color gamut ensures accurate colors for engineering and design work. However, despite its high resolution and color accuracy, its lower refresh rate isn't ideal for gaming and 3D applications, where smooth motion is crucial. On the other hand, the ASUS TUF Gaming F15's display, while still solid for day-to-day use, lacks the wider color gamut necessary for precision in professional design tasks, and its gaming performance is hampered by a refresh rate that doesn't meet the high standards required for fast-paced 3D environments.

How the ASUS ROG Strix G17 and the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 compare to other laptops
"The Asus ROG Strix G17 is an attractive but unbalanced gaming laptop. Its potent AMD Ryzen 9 processor excels in 1080p gaming, but playing at 1440p leaves the middling GeForce RTX 4060 GPU shouldering most of the burden. The display is exceptionally colorful, which is handy for content creators, but since this is a gaming laptop it would be better served with improved HDR capabilities. If battery life isn't a priority, the Strix G17 could serve as a designer by day and a gamer by night."
"Aside from all the chassis updates, the new TUF Gaming is most notable for its much higher TGP target of 140 W compared to only 95 W on the previous generation. PC makers everywhere are using the same GeForce GPUs this year since Nvidia has yet to launch the successor to the mobile RTX 3000 series. The more demanding processors of the new TUF Gaming has directly impacted battery life and the size of the AC adapter. Don't expect runtimes to be longer than on the previous generation under most conditions and be prepared to carry around an even larger AC adapter than before."
