The Dell Inspiron 16 5625 offers a larger 16-inch screen which is beneficial for multitasking and more immersive movie watching, but this also makes it bulkier and heavier, impacting portability compared to the lighter Lenovo ThinkBook 13s with its smaller 13.3-inch display. The ThinkBook's higher screen resolution provides a sharper image, and it tends to be less expensive, giving it an edge in terms of value for money. Both have similar battery life and are suitable for general use and light engineering work, but may not be ideal for intensive gaming or heavy 3D/machine learning tasks. If portability and screen sharpness are your top priorities and budget is a concern, consider the ThinkBook; if a larger screen and slightly better performance are more important, the Inspiron could be preferable. The Lenovo ThinkBook 13s has a better screen than the Dell Inspiron 16 5625 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
For general use, the Lenovo ThinkBook 13s offers a sharper picture and more vivid colors, making it more suitable for everyday tasks like browsing and document editing than the Dell Inspiron 16 5625. The ThinkBook's higher color gamut coverage also benefits engineers and designers who need accurate colors for their work, whereas the Inspiron's fair color fidelity might not fully meet professional creative standards. However, for gaming and 3D applications, both laptops fall short due to low refresh rates, although their resolution and panel types are adequate for non-gaming tasks.

How the Dell Inspiron 16 5625 and the Lenovo ThinkBook 13s compare to other laptops
"I think there is fair value in the Inspiron 16 this year. Very little has changed with the laptop and my opinion hasn’t really changed either. In other words, I like it. Overall, I think the pros far outweigh the cons of this laptop and the price is certainly justifiable. I found this to be a great typer and I could potentially work all day on this machine, provided I don’t need a graphics card."
"The best thing about the ThinkBook 13S is that it’s a good deal. Business buyers looking for ThinkPad-level performance and software without ThinkPad pricing will probably find the ThinkBook a solid option. While nothing about it is really spectacular, it’s certainly unusual to see the ThinkBook’s screen resolution at a sub-$1,000 price, and its performance will be more than adequate for most office tasks. The generous port selection, 16:10 aspect ratio, physical webcam shutter, and clear audio are certainly icing on the cake."
