The ASUS ROG Strix G17 and Lenovo LOQ 15 are similarly priced, but offer different features. The ASUS has a larger screen and higher resolution, making it better for immersive gaming and large-scale work. Its battery is larger, which typically means longer usage time, but it's also heavier, making it less portable. The Lenovo, on the other hand, is lighter and has a slightly longer battery life, offering better portability with modest sacrifices in screen size and resolution. Both have gaming-oriented hardware, but the ASUS's graphics card is slightly more powerful, offering an edge in performance for gaming and intensive tasks. The Lenovo, though, would be more convenient for someone who travels frequently and doesn't require the utmost in gaming or heavy workloads. Give Feedback

The ASUS ROG Strix G17 is very good for gaming and AI, while the Lenovo LOQ 15 is good.
The ASUS ROG Strix G17 stands out for gaming and 3D with its higher-end Nvidia RTX 4060 GPU and a faster 240Hz screen refresh rate, providing smoother visual performance critical for fast-paced gaming, while the Lenovo LOQ 15, with its Nvidia RTX 4050 GPU and a respectable 144Hz screen refresh rate, offers a balance of gaming performance and affordability. Both laptops have quality IPS screens and powerful AMD CPUs, but the Strix's better GPU and higher refresh screen make it the superior choice for intensive 3D tasks and gaming, although at a higher price point.

The ASUS ROG Strix G17 has a better screen than the Lenovo LOQ 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, and content creation.
When considering screen quality for general use, the ASUS has a display that offers sharp images, vivid colors, and is easily viewable in various lighting conditions, which is essential for everyday tasks like browsing and document editing. For engineering and design work, both the ASUS and Lenovo have displays that reproduce colors accurately, crucial for tasks that require precision in color representation, such as graphic design or video editing. However, for gaming and 3D applications, where a high refresh rate provides smoother visuals and a better experience, neither laptop's screen is optimal, lacking the high refresh rate that serious gaming or 3D rendering would benefit from.

How the ASUS ROG Strix G17 and the Lenovo LOQ 15 compare to other laptops
"The Asus ROG Strix G17 is an attractive but unbalanced gaming laptop. Its potent AMD Ryzen 9 processor excels in 1080p gaming, but playing at 1440p leaves the middling GeForce RTX 4060 GPU shouldering most of the burden. The display is exceptionally colorful, which is handy for content creators, but since this is a gaming laptop it would be better served with improved HDR capabilities. If battery life isn't a priority, the Strix G17 could serve as a designer by day and a gamer by night."
"Even after a short time with the LOQ 15, you'll find it has a lot going for it, but ultimately it's just "good"—not quite a star. The performance is respectable for the hardware it’s running, but Lenovo had to make some design sacrifices to trim the price. One of the better aspects is the keyboard, making it one of the better low-cost gaming laptops to actually put your hands on."
