The ASUS ROG Strix G17 offers better performance for intensive 3D tasks and gaming with a higher refresh rate display, more suited for fast-paced visuals. It's also equipped with a newer GPU and a CPU, but it's heavier and bulkier, which impacts its portability. On the other hand, the Gigabyte Aero 16, though slightly less powerful in high-end tasks, comes with an OLED display that delivers superior color quality and resolution, making it ideal for creative professionals who prioritize display fidelity. It's also lighter and has a longer battery life, enhancing its portability for on-the-go use. Give Feedback

The ASUS ROG Strix G17 has a better screen than the Gigabyte Aero 16 for gaming and AI, while the Gigabyte Aero 16 has a better screen for general use, engineering and design, and content creation.
The ASUS ROG Strix G17 offers a sharp display and strong brightness for general activities, but its refresh rate isn't optimal for fast-paced gaming, which may lead to less fluid visuals during intense action. The Gigabyte Aero 16 boasts exceptional color coverage essential for professional design work, making it a clear choice for color accuracy in engineering and design tasks. However, like the ASUS, its gaming and 3D performance isn't ideal due to a lower refresh rate that doesn't cater well to the demands of high-speed content creation or gameplay.

How the ASUS ROG Strix G17 and the Gigabyte Aero 16 compare to other laptops
"The Asus ROG Strix G17 is an attractive but unbalanced gaming laptop. Its potent AMD Ryzen 9 processor excels in 1080p gaming, but playing at 1440p leaves the middling GeForce RTX 4060 GPU shouldering most of the burden. The display is exceptionally colorful, which is handy for content creators, but since this is a gaming laptop it would be better served with improved HDR capabilities. If battery life isn't a priority, the Strix G17 could serve as a designer by day and a gamer by night."
"The Gigabyte Aero 16 is a workstation laptop for light gaming. It's design is still muted, with a silver chassis alongside a black keyboard and trackpad that provides some contrast. The Gigabyte Aero’s full-size chiclet-style keyboard is enjoyable to type on thanks to its snappy feel and responsiveness. The 4K+ AMOLED display is good, but it could be better. It doesn’t handle true black very well and suffers from strong reflections and glare. The Gigabyte Aero excels at productivity performance and can keep up with other gaming laptops in 1080p. But it has very few ports and its refresh rate leaves a bit to be desired."
