The ASUS ROG Strix G17 generally comes at a midrange price and offers larger screen size, higher battery capacity, and a more advanced primary GPU, which makes it a strong choice for intensive gaming and demanding tasks like 3D rendering, machine learning, and engineering applications. Its larger screen and refresh rate may also provide a better viewing experience, though it is heavier, which affects portability. On the other hand, the Dell Alienware m15 R7 is priced at a premium, has a more compact and lighter build along with a higher portability score, making it easier to carry around. While both laptops support hardware ray tracing and have similar RAM, the Alienware has a smaller storage capacity and slightly lower battery life. Both are tailored towards gaming, but the choice may come down to whether you prioritize performance and screen size over portability and price. Give Feedback

How the ASUS ROG Strix G17 and the Dell Alienware m15 R7 compare to other laptops
"The Asus ROG Strix G17 is an attractive but unbalanced gaming laptop. Its potent AMD Ryzen 9 processor excels in 1080p gaming, but playing at 1440p leaves the middling GeForce RTX 4060 GPU shouldering most of the burden. The display is exceptionally colorful, which is handy for content creators, but since this is a gaming laptop it would be better served with improved HDR capabilities. If battery life isn't a priority, the Strix G17 could serve as a designer by day and a gamer by night."
"The Alienware M15 offers solid gaming and leading endurance. It makes the most of its CPU and GPU while delivering stellar battery life for a gaming laptop. Opening the lid presents a full-size keyboard with honeycomb cutouts above it on the deck. An oblong RBG lightning element surrounds the entire rear panel and can be color-synced with the other lights on the laptop. There’s not a lot to dislike about the M15 Its productivity performance lagged in some areas, particularly in the storage benchmark, and it’s a bit heavy. Alienware has a clear winner here with the M15 based on its strong overall performance and endurance."
