When deciding between the Asus ROG Strix G16 and the Dell G15 5520, consider that the Asus is likely to deliver superior performance for demanding tasks such as gaming, 3D rendering, or machine learning, but its higher cost may be a factor. The Dell, while more budget-friendly, offers decent performance for general use and less intensive engineering work. The Asus may also have a heftier build, affecting portability, whereas the Dell might be easier to carry around. Additionally, the Asus might have a shorter battery life due to its more powerful components, whereas the Dell could offer longer usage between charges. Give Feedback

How the ASUS ROG Strix G16 (2024) and the Dell G15 5520 compare to other laptops
"With the mobile Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080, the Asus ROG Stix G16 hits the sweet spot between performance and cooling. The G16 also does not have to shy away from direct comparison with its supposedly stronger family member, the ROG Strix Scar 18 with its RTX 4090, as most benchmarks of the two laptops are very close to each other. Moreover, the G16 should be significantly cheaper. Depending on the supplier, the price difference here could be almost US$ 2,000. In the 2023 model series, Asus has significantly leveled out the differences between the two high-end lines."
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | April 2023
"The Dell G15 (2022) is a 15.6-inch budget gaming laptop, and is great for gaming. You can configure the laptop with powerful Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and various NVIDIA dedicated GPUs, all of which deliver a smooth gaming experience at 1080p. There's also a QHD 240Hz display option if you want better visuals, though you'll have to pair it with the top-end NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti to get good frame rates. It doesn't get overly hot or loud under load, and there's no noticeable throttling on the CPU or GPU. Unfortunately, the 120Hz panel has a slow response time, causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate."
