The ASUS ROG Strix G15 Advantage Edition offers strong performance for gaming and demanding software applications, with a premium graphics card and processor, and is more costly but less portable due to its heavier weight. Its battery life is decent, but not the best for on-the-go usage, and it has a gaming laptop look. The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15", by contrast, is notably more affordable, weighing less and thus more portable. It has a longer battery life, making it better for travel or long days without access to power, though it is less suitable for intense gaming or engineering software that requires high graphical or processing capabilities. Both laptops feature a similar screen size and resolution, but the ASUS model provides a higher refresh rate which is advantageous for fast-paced visual content. Give Feedback

The ASUS ROG Strix G15 Advantage Edition is very good for engineering and design, while the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is only fair.
The ASUS ROG Strix G15 Advantage Edition is better suited for engineering and design tasks due to its more powerful CPU, higher amount of RAM, and superior dedicated GPU which are very important for such tasks; the screen quality, although lower in brightness, also provides higher color accuracy essential for design work. On the other hand, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" offers decent portability and has a brighter screen, but it falls short for engineering tasks due to its less powerful integrated GPU and smaller RAM capacity, along with its generally lower screen color fidelity.

The ASUS ROG Strix G15 Advantage Edition has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, and content creation.
The ASUS ROG Strix G15 Advantage Edition boasts superior color accuracy and wider color gamuts, making it well-suited for engineering and design tasks where precise color representation is crucial. For general use, its high resolution and bright display enhance the viewing experience, though for gaming and 3D applications, its refresh rate may not be as high as desired, which can limit the smoothness of motion. Conversely, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" offers adequate resolution and brightness for everyday tasks and work in engineering and design, but its color range and refresh rate may fall short for professional design work and high-paced gaming, respectively.

The ASUS ROG Strix G15, with its robust CPU and RAM, excels in demanding tasks and would be suitable for gaming or creative work, but it's heavier and may have shorter battery life, making it less portable than the Lenovo IdeaPad 1, which offers adequate screen quality and battery for everyday tasks at the expense of lower performance making it more suited for general use and easier to carry around. While both have ample storage, the ASUS likely has a better keyboard and speakers, with the Lenovo being quieter and cooler during operation due to its less powerful components.

How the ASUS ROG Strix G15 Advantage Edition and the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" compare to other laptops
"The Asus ROG Strix G15, as the first in a line of "AMD Advantage"-branded notebooks, is a statement that yes, you can get a premium AMD gaming notebook. Maybe you can't have it all, but you can get pretty close. The ROG Strix G15's combination of the AMD Ryzen 5900HX and Radeon RX 6800M, as well as other technologies that take advantage of them, make a potent, thin gaming machine. Powerful Dolby Atmos speakers and long battery life when you aren't gaming are nice bonuses."
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is affordable and pretty efficient. At the end of the day, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 (15″, 2023) is one of the better affordable laptops money can buy right now. It has a decent performance, albeit coming from a CPU that is based on old architecture. Playing low-intensity games is possible but at low to medium settings. We are really happy with the cooling setup, but the main event here is the battery life. We got 9 hours of either Web browsing or video playback, which is a great result. Especially if you compare this device with the ASUS E410."
