For performance in tasks like 3D rendering, machine learning, and gaming, the ASUS ROG Flow Z13 is a better choice as it features a more powerful CPU and dedicated GPU. However, it is also more expensive and offers a shorter battery life compared to the MSI Summit E13 Flip Evo. If battery life and a lower price are priorities, and tasks are more business-oriented or general in nature, the MSI could be the better option. Both laptops are similar in portability and screen size, but the ASUS offers a higher refresh rate and is marketed towards gaming, whereas the MSI has a longer-lasting battery, suited for business users. The ASUS ROG Flow Z13 is very good for engineering and design, while the MSI Summit E13 Flip Evo is good.
The ASUS ROG Flow Z13 excels in engineering and design tasks thanks to its high-end CPU and dedicated GPU, which provide superior computation and graphics performance, and its screen displays vibrant colors and sharp images; however, it is less portable and has a shorter battery life compared to the MSI Summit E13 Flip Evo. The MSI model, while still capable for engineering and design use with a good CPU and integrated graphics, prioritizes portability and longer battery life but offers a less powerful GPU and lower screen resolution than the ASUS, which may affect performance in graphics-intensive applications.

The ASUS ROG Flow Z13 has a better screen than the MSI Summit E13 Flip Evo for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The ASUS ROG Flow Z13 boasts a high-resolution, bright display that renders crisp and colorful images, making it excellent for everyday tasks and professional design work where color accuracy matters. However, its lower refresh rate might detract from the smooth visuals required in fast-paced gaming or 3D modeling. The MSI Summit, with similar resolution and color reproduction, offers a balanced experience for both daily computing and creative tasks, but like the ASUS, it falls short for gaming where fluid motion is key due to a refresh rate that doesn't cater to high-speed action.

Although they have very similar scores, PerfectRec considers ASUS ROG Flow Z13 to be very good for general use, while the MSI Summit E13 Flip Evo is good.
The ASUS ROG Flow Z13 outshines the MSI Summit E13 Flip Evo for general use due to its more powerful CPU and GPU, resulting in smoother performance in various tasks, and its display provides a higher resolution and refresh rate for sharper and more fluid visuals. While the MSI offers a larger battery capacity which contributes to a more extended battery life, making it more suitable for longer use away from a power source, it has less storage capacity and a less powerful integrated graphics, which may limit performance in graphically intensive tasks. Both laptops are portable and offer 2-in-1 functionality with touchscreens, but considerations such as storage needs, performance demands, and battery life priorities will guide the better choice for individual users.

How the ASUS ROG Flow Z13 and the MSI Summit E13 Flip Evo compare to other laptops
"The Asus ROG Flow Z13 is a gaming tablet with powerful Alder Lake i9 CPU. The ROG Flow Z13 impresses with its good cooling. After our review, the impression is predominantly positive. Besides a very fast Alder Lake CPU and stable gaming performance, especially the cooling system is surprisingly effective and quiet. You can use the integrated speakers without any issues while gaming. The 1200p display in the 16:10 format also impresses with good color reproduction and high brightness. Since the battery runtimes aren't particularly long as it is, we wouldn't recommend the optional 4K panel."
"MSI wants to prove that it can do more than just gaming laptops and the Summit E13 Flip is a great example of what the manufacturer is capable of especially in terms of aesthetics and performance. Normally for subnotebooks or convertibles, TDP and performance are often below average as makers want to meet slimmer designs and lower weight targets. The Summit manages to outperform others in its size class and category while still looking sleek and portable in the process. If you want a convertible that won't throttle significantly when under load, then this MSI will be one of the better options you can find."
