The Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) is a higher-priced option that offers better performance for general use, 3D rendering, machine learning, and engineering tasks due to its Apple M2 chip. It also boasts a longer battery life and a higher quality build. On the flip side, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" costs less and has a larger screen and a touchscreen feature, which might be beneficial for certain tasks. It also offers more storage and more RAM out of the box. However, it falls short in battery life and its performance scores for most tasks when compared to the MacBook Pro. If portability and premium build quality are important to you, along with higher performance for intensive tasks, the MacBook Pro is the better choice. If you prefer a larger touchscreen and want to save money while still getting decent performance for general use, the Lenovo IdeaPad could be the way to go. Give Feedback

The Apple MacBook Pro 13 has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" for general use, AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The Apple MacBook Pro's screen uses higher resolution and brightness, enhancing the clarity and detail for general use and engineering tasks, complemented by wider color gamuts that are crucial for accuracy in design work. The Lenovo IdeaPad 1, while offering fair quality, may not match the MacBook's resolution or brightness, reflecting in less vivid and sharp content, which is adequate but not exceptional for general and engineering purposes. For 3D applications and gaming, the MacBook Pro falls short due to its standard refresh rate, whereas the higher refresh rates desirable for such tasks are also not a feature of the IdeaPad, making both less suitable for gaming or 3D work.

How the Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) and the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" compare to other laptops
"The MacBook Pro 13 is still a very good subnotebook. The 2022 MacBook Pro 13 might look like recycling at first, because the device is completely identical to the old model expect for the new M2 SoC. We have to admit that we were surprised to see another iteration of the MBP 13 as well. The laptop is obviously familiar, but this does not change the fact that it is still a very good subnotebook. You get an excellent chassis with good stability, a very good display, good input devices and the new M2 chip is very powerful and efficient."
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is affordable and pretty efficient. At the end of the day, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 (15″, 2023) is one of the better affordable laptops money can buy right now. It has a decent performance, albeit coming from a CPU that is based on old architecture. Playing low-intensity games is possible but at low to medium settings. We are really happy with the cooling setup, but the main event here is the battery life. We got 9 hours of either Web browsing or video playback, which is a great result. Especially if you compare this device with the ASUS E410."
