The Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) excels in portability, screen quality, battery life, and is suitable for general use and lighter engineering tasks, while being highly rated for build quality and having a long battery life. Its performance is solid for general tasks but may not be as geared for intensive 3D applications or gaming as the ASUS. In contrast, the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 offers a larger screen size and is designed with gaming in mind, featuring a dedicated graphics card and higher refresh rate which makes it better for gaming, 3D rendering, and machine learning tasks. However, the TUF F17 is less portable due to its size and weight, has a lower battery life, and may not match the Apple MacBook Pro in build quality or display color accuracy. Decide based on whether you prioritize performance for specific applications like gaming or portability and battery life. Give Feedback

The Apple MacBook Pro 13 has a better screen than the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 for general use, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The Apple MacBook Pro 13, with its high resolution and bright display, offers crisp and vivid image quality that is well-suited for general use and engineering tasks which require color accuracy, with excellent coverage of professional color gamuts. However, its typically standard refresh rate means that it isn't the best fit for 3D applications where smoother motion portrayal is crucial. The ASUS TUF Gaming F17 may provide a decent experience for general activities due to its adequate resolution and brightness but falls short in engineering and design applications due to less precise color representation, and its lower refresh rate hampers gaming and 3D performance.

How the Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) and the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 compare to other laptops
"The MacBook Pro 13 is still a very good subnotebook. The 2022 MacBook Pro 13 might look like recycling at first, because the device is completely identical to the old model expect for the new M2 SoC. We have to admit that we were surprised to see another iteration of the MBP 13 as well. The laptop is obviously familiar, but this does not change the fact that it is still a very good subnotebook. You get an excellent chassis with good stability, a very good display, good input devices and the new M2 chip is very powerful and efficient."
"One of the Asus TUF Gaming F17’s highlights is without a doubt its excellent gaming performance. The fact that Asus configured the RTX 3060 GPU for its specified maximum of 140 W is became immediately noticeable in our benchmarks. For a 17-inch notebook the F17 also offers a very long battery life, which makes it somewhat portable. On the flip side is the display. It may be saved by its good overall contrast ratio, but its overall brightness is simply too low, and its response times are too slow for a gaming device. The F17’s successor needs to improve upon this."
