The Apple MacBook Pro 13 has a better screen than the Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 2 for general use, AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The Apple MacBook Pro 13's screen boasts higher resolution and superior brightness, which, paired with its panel type, offers crisp and vivid visuals crucial for everyday tasks and detailed engineering work; its wide color gamut allows designers to see true-to-life colors. However, its standard refresh rate limits its appeal for 3D applications, where smooth motion is key. In contrast, the Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 2's screen, while offering good resolution and brightness for standard use and sufficient color accuracy for engineering and design, similarly falls short for gaming and 3D tasks due to a lower refresh rate.

How the Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2020) and the Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 2 compare to other laptops
"The MacBook Pro 13 is still a very good subnotebook. The 2022 MacBook Pro 13 might look like recycling at first, because the device is completely identical to the old model expect for the new M2 SoC. We have to admit that we were surprised to see another iteration of the MBP 13 as well. The laptop is obviously familiar, but this does not change the fact that it is still a very good subnotebook. You get an excellent chassis with good stability, a very good display, good input devices and the new M2 chip is very powerful and efficient."
"The Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 2 review is a compact companion with old hardware. The Surface Laptop Go 2 shows some weaknesses. Microsoft didn't really develop the second generation of the Surface Laptop Go 2 any further but has only equipped it with a slightly more powerful Core i5 processor. However, the performance still remains at a fairly low level overall, but for many users, it definitely should still be sufficient for everyday tasks."
