If you prioritize performance for 3D rendering, machine learning, or gaming, the Dell G15 5520 with its stronger processor and NVIDIA GPU will excel in these areas, however, it is heavier and has a shorter battery life, making it less portable than the MacBook Air. On the other hand, the MacBook Air is lighter and offers silent operation with a longer battery life, suitable for general use and carrying around, but it's not designed for intensive gaming or high-performance tasks. Both laptops are similarly priced and neither is ideally suited for heavy engineering tasks. Give Feedback

The Apple MacBook Air 15 has a better screen than the Dell G15 5520 for general use, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The MacBook Air offers a high-resolution display and excellent color accuracy, making it suitable for engineering and design work where detail and color representation are paramount, but its lower refresh rate may not satisfy those looking to do 3D work where smooth motion is key. The Dell G15’s screen, while offering good resolution and decent color accuracy for general and engineering use, may fall short for gaming and 3D tasks that benefit from higher refresh rates. Both laptops would serve well for day-to-day activities and professional design work, but dedicated gamers and 3D designers might need to look for options with screens that prioritize refresh rate over resolution and color gamut.

How the Apple MacBook Air 15 (2023) and the Dell G15 5520 compare to other laptops
"The Apple MacBook Air 15 is boringly good. The new MacBook Air 15 is a very good, but also boring device, because apart from the larger screen and the higher price, there are no differences compared to the smaller MacBook Air M2 from last year. No new processor, no additional ports, just the usual basic hardware - but the overall package is extremely good and it simply works. Above all, the lack of fans is an aspect that should not be underestimated in everyday use. In our opinion, the Air could be a lot better, but Apple goes easy on itself here."
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | April 2023
"The Dell G15 (2022) is a 15.6-inch budget gaming laptop, and is great for gaming. You can configure the laptop with powerful Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and various NVIDIA dedicated GPUs, all of which deliver a smooth gaming experience at 1080p. There's also a QHD 240Hz display option if you want better visuals, though you'll have to pair it with the top-end NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti to get good frame rates. It doesn't get overly hot or loud under load, and there's no noticeable throttling on the CPU or GPU. Unfortunately, the 120Hz panel has a slow response time, causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate."
