The Apple MacBook Air (2022) is a more portable option with a longer battery life, excellent for general use and tasks that benefit from a high-quality display. The Lenovo LOQ 15, while heavier and with a shorter battery life, offers stronger performance for intensive tasks, including 3D rendering, machine learning, and engineering software, thanks to its more powerful CPU and GPU. If gaming or heavy-duty tasks are your focus, the Lenovo is the better fit, but for everyday use and work on the go, the MacBook Air's lighter weight and fanless design make it a compelling choice. The Lenovo LOQ 15 is good for gaming and AI, while the Apple MacBook Air (2022) is only fair.
The MacBook Air, with its integrated GPU and 60Hz display, is adequate for casual 3D use; however, for better gaming and 3D performance, the Lenovo LOQ 15 is preferable due to its dedicated Nvidia graphics and higher refresh rate display, which is especially important since macOS does not support many popular games that would benefit from these features.

The Apple MacBook Air has a better screen than the Lenovo LOQ 15 for general use, engineering and design, software development, and content creation, while the Lenovo LOQ 15 has a better screen for gaming and AI.
The MacBook Air's exceptional resolution and brightness provide a crisp and vivid display for general tasks, while its comprehensive color gamuts ensure accurate color replication essential for engineering and design professionals. However, it falls short for 3D applications due to its standard refresh rate, which is lower than what is typically preferred for smooth and detailed 3D modeling or animation. Conversely, the Lenovo LOQ 15, while offering ample resolution and brightness for daily tasks and sufficient color accuracy for professional design work, also doesn't meet the higher refresh rate demands of gaming and high-end 3D visualization.

How the Apple MacBook Air (2022) and the Lenovo LOQ 15 compare to other laptops
"The Apple MacBook Air M2 Entry is a very good, but too expensive daily MacBook. The new MacBook Air M2 is undoubtedly once again a very good mobile companion, but we are still a little bit disappointed on a very high level, which is definitely connected with the increased price point. The new chassis is extremely slim and the front edge is no problem during typing, but the bezels are pretty wide for a modern device and in addition with the vertical space required for the notch, the new Air has larger footprint than some Windows rivals."
"Even after a short time with the LOQ 15, you'll find it has a lot going for it, but ultimately it's just "good"—not quite a star. The performance is respectable for the hardware it’s running, but Lenovo had to make some design sacrifices to trim the price. One of the better aspects is the keyboard, making it one of the better low-cost gaming laptops to actually put your hands on."
