The Apple MacBook Air (2022) boasts a sleek design, superior portability, and a longer battery life, making it an excellent choice for those who value mobility and battery performance. Its fanless operation ensures quiet use, and the quality of the build is dependable for everyday tasks and general use, with a high-quality keyboard and display for vibrant colors. On the other hand, the Gigabyte A5 offers a larger screen, a dedicated graphics card, more storage, and double the RAM, enhancing its ability for 3D rendering, machine learning, and intensive engineering tasks. It also has a higher screen refresh rate suitable for gaming. However, the Gigabyte A5 is heavier, which detracts from its portability, and has a shorter battery life compared to the MacBook Air. The choice between the two will largely depend on whether portability and quiet operation or higher gaming and engineering performance are a priority for you. Give Feedback

The Apple MacBook Air has a better screen than the Gigabyte A5 for general use, engineering and design, software development, and content creation, while the Gigabyte A5 has a better screen for gaming and AI.
The Apple MacBook Air, with its high-resolution display and impressive brightness, offers vibrant and sharp visuals, making it excellent for general use and engineering tasks where color accuracy and detail are paramount. However, its typical 60Hz refresh rate isn't ideal for 3D work, where smoother motion from higher refresh rates is crucial. The Gigabyte A5 provides good all-around screen quality for various tasks, but it lacks the superior color gamut coverage and the high refresh rates needed for the best experience in gaming and 3D applications.

How the Apple MacBook Air (2022) and the Gigabyte A5 compare to other laptops
"The Apple MacBook Air M2 Entry is a very good, but too expensive daily MacBook. The new MacBook Air M2 is undoubtedly once again a very good mobile companion, but we are still a little bit disappointed on a very high level, which is definitely connected with the increased price point. The new chassis is extremely slim and the front edge is no problem during typing, but the bezels are pretty wide for a modern device and in addition with the vertical space required for the notch, the new Air has larger footprint than some Windows rivals."
"Ignoring price, the Gigabyte A5 has a hard time against the similarly fast competition. Besides the loud noise in 3D mode (performance mode), the high temperature development of the components should be mentioned on the downside. Despite the relatively thick case, the laptop gets very warm and loud under load, which does not exactly speak for the cooling system. The plastic surfaces look rather cheap and also tend to rattle. In most other disciplines - be it the input devices, the screen, the connectivity or the battery runtime - the Gigabyte laptop does not stand out from the crowd, neither positively nor negatively. However, those who primarily pay attention to the price-performance ratio will get a pretty good offer with the Gigabyte A5."
