If you value sleek design and portability, as well as long battery life for general use or routine tasks, the Apple MacBook Air may serve you better. However, if you are interested in gaming or require more robust hardware for demanding applications like 3D modeling or video editing, the ASUS TUF Gaming F15, while heavier and possibly having shorter battery life, will provide better performance for these intensive tasks. Keep in mind that the TUF Gaming F15 may also afford more connectivity options and could be more easily upgraded or repaired thanks to its gaming laptop design. Give Feedback

The ASUS TUF Gaming F15 is very good for engineering and design, while the Apple MacBook Air (2022) is good.
The ASUS TUF Gaming F15 offers superior performance for engineering and design tasks thanks to its higher capacity RAM, a more powerful CPU in the form of the Intel i7-12700H, and a dedicated Nvidia RTX 4070 GPU, compared to the Apple MacBook Air's Apple M2 chip that combines CPU and GPU; however, the MacBook Air leads in portability due to its lighter weight and fanless, silent operation, as well as higher screen quality with better color accuracy and brightness, making it better for design work that prioritizes display fidelity over raw computing power.

The Apple MacBook Air has a better screen than the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 for general use, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The Apple MacBook Air typically features high-resolution displays with excellent brightness and color accuracy, making text sharp and colors vibrant for tasks like web browsing, document editing, and media consumption, which is essential for general use. When it comes to engineering and design, its display covers a wide color gamut, ensuring precise color representation for professional photo and video editing. However, the MacBook Air's screen may not have the high refresh rates favored for 3D applications and gaming, which are crucial for fluid motion and reduced motion blur, a feature more commonly found in gaming-oriented laptops like the ASUS TUF Gaming F15, although its screen may not match the MacBook in terms of resolution and color accuracy for general and design tasks.

How the Apple MacBook Air (2022) and the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 compare to other laptops
"The Apple MacBook Air M2 Entry is a very good, but too expensive daily MacBook. The new MacBook Air M2 is undoubtedly once again a very good mobile companion, but we are still a little bit disappointed on a very high level, which is definitely connected with the increased price point. The new chassis is extremely slim and the front edge is no problem during typing, but the bezels are pretty wide for a modern device and in addition with the vertical space required for the notch, the new Air has larger footprint than some Windows rivals."
"Aside from all the chassis updates, the new TUF Gaming is most notable for its much higher TGP target of 140 W compared to only 95 W on the previous generation. PC makers everywhere are using the same GeForce GPUs this year since Nvidia has yet to launch the successor to the mobile RTX 3000 series. The more demanding processors of the new TUF Gaming has directly impacted battery life and the size of the AC adapter. Don't expect runtimes to be longer than on the previous generation under most conditions and be prepared to carry around an even larger AC adapter than before."
