The Apple MacBook Air (2020) is typically less expensive, more portable, and offers silent operation due to its fanless design. It has an excellent screen for general use with great battery life, ideal for day-to-day tasks and light content creation. Alternatively, the ASUS TUF Gaming F15, while more expensive and less portable, provides significantly better performance for gaming, 3D rendering, and machine learning due to its powerful Intel processor and Nvidia graphics card. It also comes with more storage and memory but has a shorter battery life, making it more suitable for those needing a laptop for intensive tasks. Give Feedback

The ASUS TUF Gaming F15 is very good for gaming and AI, while the Apple MacBook Air (2020) is only fair.
The ASUS TUF Gaming F15 offers a dedicated GPU with a high screen refresh rate which is ideal for smooth gaming and efficient 3D rendering, while the MacBook Air, lacking a high-performance GPU and lower refresh rate screen, isn't optimized for these tasks and also faces limitations in gaming due to incompatibility with many popular titles. Despite its excellent screen quality and capable CPU, the MacBook Air's integrated graphics fall short for gaming and extensive 3D work when compared to the ASUS's hardware.

The Apple MacBook Air has a better screen than the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 for general use, engineering and design, and software development.
For general use, the MacBook Air's high-resolution Retina display offers crisp visuals and bright colors, while the ASUS F15's display provides good clarity and brightness but may not match the MacBook's. In engineering and design, where precise colors are crucial, the MacBook Air's screen covers a wide range of color gamuts, enhancing the accuracy for these tasks, whereas the ASUS F15 has more modest color range capabilities. However, for 3D tasks and gaming that benefit from smoother motion, the ASUS F15's higher refresh rate is advantageous, though it falls short compared to specialized gaming laptops, while the MacBook Air lags due to a lower refresh rate, not being optimized for these demands.

How the Apple MacBook Air (2020) and the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 compare to other laptops
"The Apple MacBook Air M2 Entry is a very good, but too expensive daily MacBook. The new MacBook Air M2 is undoubtedly once again a very good mobile companion, but we are still a little bit disappointed on a very high level, which is definitely connected with the increased price point. The new chassis is extremely slim and the front edge is no problem during typing, but the bezels are pretty wide for a modern device and in addition with the vertical space required for the notch, the new Air has larger footprint than some Windows rivals."
"Aside from all the chassis updates, the new TUF Gaming is most notable for its much higher TGP target of 140 W compared to only 95 W on the previous generation. PC makers everywhere are using the same GeForce GPUs this year since Nvidia has yet to launch the successor to the mobile RTX 3000 series. The more demanding processors of the new TUF Gaming has directly impacted battery life and the size of the AC adapter. Don't expect runtimes to be longer than on the previous generation under most conditions and be prepared to carry around an even larger AC adapter than before."
