The ASUS Zenbook S 13 is highly portable, lightweight with longer battery life, and an OLED screen which is excellent for general use like watching movies with vibrant colors. It has more RAM, making it better for multitasking, and the cost is slightly less when compared to the Lenovo Legion Slim 7. On the other hand, the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 has a larger screen with a higher refresh rate, important for gaming and smoother visuals, and a discrete Nvidia graphics card, which significantly enhances performance for 3D rendering, machine learning, and intensive gaming tasks. The ASUS Zenbook S 13 has a better screen than the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 for engineering and design, software development, and content creation, while the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 has a better screen for gaming and AI.
For general use, a laptop with a good screen resolution and brightness offers clear, vibrant displays which is true for both the ASUS Zenbook S 13 and the Lenovo Legion Slim 7, despite their poor gaming performance. Engineering and design professionals need accurate color representation, which both laptops provide through wide color gamuts, making them suitable for such tasks. However, gamers and those into 3D applications prefer screens with high refresh rates to ensure smooth visuals, an area where these two laptops fall short, as their strengths lie elsewhere in screen quality aspects.

How the ASUS Zenbook S 13 and the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 16" compare to other laptops
"The Asus Zenbook S 13 is the slimmest OLED ultrabook worldwide struggles with annoying fans. The new Zenbook S 13 leaves us with mixed feelings, particularly since last year's model was so good. Asus has completely reworked the device, making the laptop noticeably slimmer. The result also looks good and the case makes a great impression, particularly also in terms of the stability. The new plasma ceramic surface feels great, and there are no problems with fingerprints. In addition, it now includes some of the known connections such as an HDMI port and a regular USB-A connection, which is a good achievement in such a slim device."
"The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 is a slim Legion notebook that is just as excellent with Nvidia & Intel. However, the Legion Slim 7i slightly sullied by lacklustre battery life. You get a slim aluminium chassis, great input devices, decent port selection, fast high-quality WQXGA display and great performance. Supporting Thunderbolt 4 is one advantage of the Intel/Nvidia model tested in this review. Moreover, this variant has slightly higher CPU performance as well as better GPU performance in certain applications (e.g. CUDA-based apps). The Lenovo Legion S7i is thin, premium and performant – but less efficient than its AMD counterpart."
