If performance is a top priority for intense tasks like 3D rendering, machine learning, or engineering software, both laptops offer robust capabilities with the ASUS ROG Strix G15 leaning slightly towards a gaming appearance and the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 offering a more versatile design suitable for both work and play. The ASUS has a slightly higher general performance score while the Lenovo has a better screen, both in resolution and color accuracy, which could benefit creative professionals. With the ASUS, you'll get a bulkier build and shorter battery life, while the Lenovo is lighter with a better battery life, making it more convenient to carry around. Both have ample storage and are within a midrange price bracket, but the Lenovo offers double the storage of the ASUS. Give Feedback

Tom's Hardware

Andrew E. Freedman | August 2022
"The Asus ROG Strix G15, as the first in a line of "AMD Advantage"-branded notebooks, is a statement that yes, you can get a premium AMD gaming notebook. Maybe you can't have it all, but you can get pretty close. The ROG Strix G15's combination of the AMD Ryzen 5900HX and Radeon RX 6800M, as well as other technologies that take advantage of them, make a potent, thin gaming machine. Powerful Dolby Atmos speakers and long battery life when you aren't gaming are nice bonuses."

NotebookCheck

Benjamin Herzig | November 2022
"The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 is a slim Legion notebook that is just as excellent with Nvidia & Intel. However, the Legion Slim 7i slightly sullied by lacklustre battery life. You get a slim aluminium chassis, great input devices, decent port selection, fast high-quality WQXGA display and great performance. Supporting Thunderbolt 4 is one advantage of the Intel/Nvidia model tested in this review. Moreover, this variant has slightly higher CPU performance as well as better GPU performance in certain applications (e.g. CUDA-based apps). The Lenovo Legion S7i is thin, premium and performant – but less efficient than its AMD counterpart."
