If you prioritize performance, especially for graphic-intensive tasks, the Acer Swift X may be the better choice due to its dedicated graphics card, making it suitable for light gaming or video editing. On the other hand, the HP Spectre x360's convertible design offers versatility for use as a tablet or in tent mode, ideal for presentations or consuming media. The Spectre known for a premium build and likely longer battery life, could be more attractive if you need a laptop that doubles as a presentation tool and lasts all day on a charge. However, for heavy tasks, the Acer may handle them better despite its slightly lower portability and battery performance when compared to the HP. If cost is a major factor and you need the extra computational power, you might lean towards the Acer Swift X. If you value a premium build quality, versatility, and potentially better battery life over raw performance, the HP Spectre x360 could be the more appealing option despite its higher cost. The HP Spectre x360 has a better screen than the Acer Swift X for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Acer Swift X offers a well-balanced screen with adequate resolution and brightness for daily tasks and professional design work, though its color gamut coverage may not be as extensive as the HP Spectre x360, which provides richer and more accurate colors essential for engineering and design applications. However, both laptops may not satisfy gamers and 3D artists due to their lower refresh rates, which can result in less smooth visuals in fast-paced games or while working with 3D models. The HP Spectre x360 edges out slightly for general and professional use due to its superior color accuracy and brightness, contributing to a more premium viewing experience.

The HP Spectre x360 and Acer Swift X (2022) are both only fair for gaming and AI.
The Acer Swift X offers a dedicated Nvidia RTX 3050 GPU which is usually better suited for gaming and 3D tasks than the integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics in the HP Spectre x360; however, the larger screen and higher resolution of the HP might provide a more immersive experience despite its somewhat lower gaming performance due to the less powerful GPU compared to the Acer. Both laptops have similar screen refresh rates, which are a crucial factor for smooth visual performance, but the higher battery capacity of the HP might offer longer unplugged usability, which can be a significant advantage for some users.

How the Acer Swift X (2022) and the HP Spectre x360 compare to other laptops
"The Swift X is an Acer for entry-level gaming. With the entry-level graphics chip, our Acer not only beats every single current AMD and Intel iGPU, but also Intel's dGPU Iris Xe Max. However, despite being a GDDR6 version, the GTX does not match the expectations set by its own counterparts from our database. This may be a result of the single fan, which only produces moderate noise levels under load. The performance level of the thin and light 1.4 kg (~3.09 lbs) 14-inch laptop is impressive nonetheless."
"As we said, Lenovo's Yoga 9i is a tough competitor to the Spectre with an equally admirable OLED display. We're sad that neither of them has an HDMI port nor a niche or slot to hold the stylus, though the HP wins points for its bundled mini docking station and magnetically attached pen. Your choice will come down to screen shape—and in our eyes, just as seeing an OLED screen spoils you for an IPS panel, enjoying a tall 3:2 display spoils you for a more conventional view. The HP Spectre x360 13.5 is our new favorite 2-in-1."
