If you're looking for a laptop with a larger screen and dedicated graphics for more demanding tasks like video editing or light gaming, the Acer Swift X 16 with its AMD Ryzen processor and Nvidia RTX graphics would be a solid choice; however, it is heavier and has a shorter battery life. The Apple MacBook Pro 13 offers a sleek design, longer battery life, and the efficiency of the M1 chip, which ensures smooth performance for everyday tasks and silent operation without a fan, but it has a smaller screen and integrated graphics limited to less-intensive tasks. Both have high-resolution displays, but if portability and battery life are high priorities, the MacBook Pro 13 stands out, whereas the Acer Swift X 16 shines for its performance in graphics-related workloads. The Acer Swift X 16 has a better screen than the Apple MacBook Pro 13 for gaming and AI, software development, and content creation.
When looking for general use, both the Acer Swift X 16 and the MacBook Pro offer great viewing experiences with high resolution and adequate brightness, ensuring clarity and comfort for everyday tasks. For engineering and design, a wide color gamut is crucial, and both laptops deliver on this aspect with screens that provide a rich color range suitable for detailed and color-sensitive work. However, for gaming and 3D applications, a high refresh rate is key for smooth visuals, and both laptops fall short in this regard, making them less optimal for fast-paced or graphically demanding 3D applications.

How the Acer Swift X 16 and the Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2020) compare to other laptops
"Acer’s Swift X 16 is an excellent choice for shoppers who want a 16-inch laptop and care more for performance than attractive design or long battery life. The Swift X 16’s gorgeous OLED display, spacious keyboard, and big touchpad make it pleasant to use in basic day-to-day tasks. It also has an AMD Ryzen 9 processor and Nvidia RTX 4050 graphics, which combine to deliver good performance in a wide variety of productivity applications and games. A few minor mistakes, like poorly-placed USB-C ports that lack DisplayPort, will turn off some shoppers, but those who can accept its shortcomings will find the Swift X 16 a versatile daily driver."
"The MacBook Pro 13 is still a very good subnotebook. The 2022 MacBook Pro 13 might look like recycling at first, because the device is completely identical to the old model expect for the new M2 SoC. We have to admit that we were surprised to see another iteration of the MBP 13 as well. The laptop is obviously familiar, but this does not change the fact that it is still a very good subnotebook. You get an excellent chassis with good stability, a very good display, good input devices and the new M2 chip is very powerful and efficient."
