If you prioritize battery life and portability for tasks like web browsing, document editing, and media consumption, the Acer Swift Go 14, which is also more affordable, would be a suitable choice as it's lighter and offers a higher-resolution touchscreen. However, for more demanding tasks such as gaming, 3D rendering, or machine learning, the Dell G15 5520 will serve you better with its superior graphics performance, although it's heavier and has shorter battery life compared to the Acer. How the Acer Swift Go 14 and the Dell G15 5520 compare to other laptops
"The Acer Swift Go 14 is a surprising machine. Its performance, display, and battery life leave little to be desired from a device at this price. You might think it’d be cheaper given the “Go” in the name, or thinner given its close competition with thin-and-light laptops, but it manages to strike a decent enough balance between its capabilities and hardware to really stand out as an exceptional value."
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | April 2023
"The Dell G15 (2022) is a 15.6-inch budget gaming laptop, and is great for gaming. You can configure the laptop with powerful Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and various NVIDIA dedicated GPUs, all of which deliver a smooth gaming experience at 1080p. There's also a QHD 240Hz display option if you want better visuals, though you'll have to pair it with the top-end NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti to get good frame rates. It doesn't get overly hot or loud under load, and there's no noticeable throttling on the CPU or GPU. Unfortunately, the 120Hz panel has a slow response time, causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate."
