The Acer Predator Helios 16 is very good for gaming and AI, while the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is only fair.
The Acer Predator Helios 16 excels in gaming and 3D tasks primarily due to its more powerful Nvidia RTX 4070 GPU, which can handle demanding graphics, and a high screen refresh rate that makes for smoother visuals, whereas the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" with its integrated AMD Vega 8 graphics and a standard refresh rate is suitable for less graphics-intensive activities. Additionally, the Predator Helios has a superior screen quality with a greater resolution, providing crisper images, but the Lenovo offers a better battery life, trading off some performance capabilities for longer usage on a single charge.

The Acer Predator Helios 16 has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
If you prioritize a crisp and vibrant display for everyday tasks like web browsing and document editing, the Acer Predator Helios 16's high resolution and brightness make it superior to the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15", which offers adequate clarity and visibility for such uses. For engineering and design work, where color precision is critical, the Acer Predator's wider color gamut ensures more accurate color representation compared to the Lenovo, which has a fair range but is less suited for professional color work. However, for gaming and 3D applications, the lower refresh rate of the Acer's screen can lead to less smooth visuals, while the Lenovo also isn't optimal for such tasks due to both fair refresh rate and resolution.

"The Predator Helios 16 stacks up well against its closest competition in benchmark comparisons. The Acer Predator Helios 16 isn't perfect. It's bulky, its lid feels flimsy and some of its keys are just too damned small – but none of its problems are fatal, and it shines where it counts. The powerful graphics and processor combo are spot on for this price point, the fans stop it getting hot under pressure, and the display is as good as you’ll find under $2,500. It's simply one of the best laptops to play demanding games on."
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is affordable and pretty efficient. At the end of the day, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 (15″, 2023) is one of the better affordable laptops money can buy right now. It has a decent performance, albeit coming from a CPU that is based on old architecture. Playing low-intensity games is possible but at low to medium settings. We are really happy with the cooling setup, but the main event here is the battery life. We got 9 hours of either Web browsing or video playback, which is a great result. Especially if you compare this device with the ASUS E410."
