The Acer Nitro 5 15 delivers more power for intensive tasks like 3D rendering, machine learning, or heavy gaming, but is less portable due to its size and weight. Conversely, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15 is lighter and offers better battery life, making it a good fit for general use and productivity on the go. Both laptops are similarly priced and support general tasks, but the Acer has a better-quality keyboard, higher screen refresh rate suited for fast motion, and enhanced gaming aesthetics. If portability and longer unplugged use are priorities, consider the Lenovo; if performance in demanding applications is key, go for the Acer. Give Feedback

The Acer Nitro 5 15 is good for engineering and design, while the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is only fair.
The Acer Nitro 5 15, with a higher-end CPU and a dedicated GPU, is geared towards demanding engineering and design tasks, offering robust performance and superior screen refresh rates for smooth visuals; however, it's heavier and has a shorter battery life, making it less portable than the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15". The Lenovo, while more portable and offering a longer battery life, has a less powerful CPU and integrated GPU, which means fair performance that might not handle intensive design software as effectively, and it has a lower screen refresh rate, but it includes a touchscreen that the Acer lacks.

The Acer Nitro 5 15 has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
For general use, the Acer Nitro 5 15 has a higher resolution and brighter display, which makes images and text clearer and easier to see, while the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" has a decent display but may not be as sharp or bright. For engineering and design tasks, the Acer's display covers a wider color spectrum, making it more suitable for color-sensitive work, however, neither laptop's screen excels in this area due to limited color gamut coverage. When it comes to 3D and gaming, the Acer falls short due to its lower refresh rate, resulting in less fluid motion, whereas both laptops would not be ideal as they lack the high refresh rates and resolutions preferred for these uses.

How the Acer Nitro 5 15 and the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" compare to other laptops
"The Acer Nitro 5 is a fast QHD gaming notebook. The Nitro 5 is a well-balanced gaming laptop for just under US$ 2400. A Core i7-12700H CPU and a GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Laptop GPU enable QHD gaming at high to maximum settings, accompanied by fast PCIe-4-SSD (1 TB) and 16 GB of RAM. Acer delivers a solid QHD gaming notebook with the Nitro 5 AN515-58. However, the laptop is not completely free of shortcomings. The CPU and GPU can work at consistently high clock rates. The laptop heats up noticeably under load, but not excessively. Noise development is on the usual class level. Once again, however, Acer needs to improve the fan control."
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is affordable and pretty efficient. At the end of the day, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 (15″, 2023) is one of the better affordable laptops money can buy right now. It has a decent performance, albeit coming from a CPU that is based on old architecture. Playing low-intensity games is possible but at low to medium settings. We are really happy with the cooling setup, but the main event here is the battery life. We got 9 hours of either Web browsing or video playback, which is a great result. Especially if you compare this device with the ASUS E410."
